What would have happened if Cassie never found out Adam was her soul mate and was still with Nick. Little one-shot. All credit goes to L.J. Smith and her lovely book series, The Secret Circle.
Nick and I were still going strong. My feelings for Adam were still there but they were slowly but surely fading away. And my feelings for Nick were growing… "Oh crap its 7:30 I'm supposed to be ready for Nick to pick me up." I had to brush my hair and teeth; I don't want to look like a mess when he comes.
"Hey Nick," I said as I was sliding into Nick's finally refurbished car. "Hey Cass," Nick said leaning over to give me a soft peck on the lips. "So are we heading to school?" I asked. "No I have something else in mind actually." "May I ask what that would be?" "Nope total surprise." "Fine, can I at least have hint." "No." "Ugh Fine." I said slightly smiling so he would know I wasn't really pissed off at him.
After a 10 minute drive he pulled up to a beautiful lake with trees surrounding it. "What are we doing here Nick?" I asked with awe apparent in my voice. "We are going to have a picnic." "What brought this on?" "Nothing really just thought we could relax for a day, get away from the club and just hang together." "Ok."
"Oh my god that was delicious Nick I didn't know you could cook." "There are a lot of things you don't know about me Cass." He said slowly leaning over to kiss me. That kiss turned into a very heavy make-out session. "Nick?" I said slowly pulling away from him and trying very hard to bring my breathing back down to normal, "What time is it?" "Um what yeah hold on," he said trying to calm himself back down too, "It's almost 2:15. why?" "We have to go back home." "Do we have to?" "Yes, there is a club meeting right after school." "Can we skip that too?" I really wish we could, but these meetings are important and you know it." "Yeah I know, lets go." So we packed our picnic and got into the truck to head back to reality.
Let me know if you want me to continue this. Review please.
