The Fact Remains

Summary: Theo and Jarrod have a talk about his little incident with his brother. Missing scene to Crossing Bridges

Jarrod winced slightly as he touched his nose. Who knew that Theo's brother could hit so hard? How did he come up on him so fast?

"It doesn't look like that it is broken," Theo's voice said from behind him. He was leaning against the doorway with his arms folded against his chest. He turned away from the mirror to face Theo. He almost had to do a double take. They looked so much alike. It was almost scary. He should have believed RJ when he told him. Now he was paying for it.

"It felt like it."

"I could get Camille to come and look at it."

He winced slightly. As much as he loved his girlfriend, she was quite the mother hen.

"No, thank you."

Theo sighed softly.

"You are probably curious on why Lu punched you."

"No….I figured that you told him about you know…everything…"

Theo snorted.

"He had enough trouble with the whole animal spirit. What made you think that I would have told him that I was a ranger?"

Lily and Casey's family reacted differently to him.

One of Casey's sisters might have a tiny crash on him which creep him out slightly.

Lily's parents hugged him the first time that they met him.

They didn't know what he did…what he has done.

His eyes widen slightly at a sudden thought.

But somehow, Luan knew.

"What happened?"

"One of Dai Shi's monsters…the mirror one….decided to visit when my brother was in town."

He groaned to himself.

"Just great…."

"I haven't told you the best part. It captured my brother."

He almost wanted to bang his head against the wall. That wasn't something that he wanted to hear.

"So, that explained why he punched me."

"He could have done worse. This one time, this babysitter that he really didn't like, he stuffed old meat into her car then turned on the heater. I heard it took her a week to get the smell out."

He winced.

"So, I can expect pranks."

"No, I talked him. You should be okay but the fact remains…"

"I was Dai Shi."

Theo snorted.

"You weren't Dai Shi, Jarrod. You were his vessel."

"You don't get it. I did those with my hands… my powers. And I could…"

"Oh, stop it, right now," Theo snapped.

He blinked at him.

"You can give yourself a guilt trip later. What happened…happened. If me or Lily…or Casey, we would have felt just as guilty. Right now, I want you and my brother to talk. Soon…"

"I don't know how…"

"Don't force it for one. Just…Show him that you aren't Dai Shi. Prove him wrong."

Theo looked at him for a second longer then turned around and left.

He stood there for moment and watched him leave.

He took a deep breathe.

He didn't know how to prove him wrong.

End.
