WOW! I have all the rights! I ev- Dang, just another one of these good dreams I keep having… JKR owns everything… Maybe she'll share?

James flopped down on the couch at his and Lily's cottage in Godric's Hollow after a long day at work. He worked as an auror, and Lily worked in the Department of Mysteries as an Unspeakable. She did something with potions, but wasn't allowed to tell him much. The cottage was a small, two bedroom, cozy place. It was painted a fiery red, for why go with the "Boring, drab, and death-eatherish" look of black or grey? He had a minor debate with himself over whether to get up and entertain Harry, who had just started to cry, or to stay on the comfort that was his couch. Harry, of course, won out. He grabbed the cloak, and threw it on. Then, he came up to the 5 month old Harry, and pulled it off, saying "Peek-a-boo!"

Harry, who loved these games, giggled for a while, then asked for a "stowy!"

James chuckled and whipped out a storybook. "Okay, Harry. I'm going to read you the story of Sir Edmond and the Dragon. There was once a dueler of great prowess. He was known as Sir Edm-" James stopped, listening. Then he heard his lovely Lily call again faintly. "Okay, Harry. Your mommy's calling. Wish me luck!" He winked.

"James Tiberius Potter! You get down here right this instant! Bathilda's waiting to pick up Harry!"

James winced. "Make that wish me EXTRA luck…", he muttered to his son, grabbed him and sprinted down the stairs, passing Harry to the historian as he grabbed his wife's hand, and apparated. Or at least, he tried to. For some reason, it wouldn't work.

"You forgot about the anti-apparation wards again, didn't you." Lily said. "Always the slow one…"

"Hey!" he replied. "I was just testing you, making sure that you remembered!"

"Uh-huh. Suuuure you were. Anyway, we use this thing called a portkey. Do you know what that is?" She asked, innocently, grabbing the quill on the table, and forcing his hand onto it, too. The world spun, with what looked like blue stars speeding around them. They appeared about a mile outside of Potter Manor, which James' parents, Tiberius and Aurora Potter, had graciously let the Order use for meetings.

James stumbled, momentarily disoriented. He looked around, and saw the Manor off in the distance. "You could've brought some brooms, Lily. However are we going to get there?" He asked

"We walk." She replied shortly, mentally cursing herself for forgetting that they weren't portkeying right to the Manor's doorstep.

James smirked. "You just forgot to bring them, didn't you? Accio Trailrunners!" He yelled, waving his wand.

"Oh, you just hush." Lily pouted. They mounted the brooms, and in a few minutes, they were there. They rushed through the gates and into the stateroom, a huge, well decorated affair that had protective spells from before Merlin's time.

A/N: Okay, I know that this chapter's miniscule. I promise that I'll upload another soon, but I want to finish editing first. R&R for virtual cookies and milk!
