Disclaimer: I don't own anything here, except maybe the beach
"Please!" she begged.
"No. Absolutely not."
"Please! It's for the children!"
"No. I will not set foot on a ship, no matter how big."
"Loki! But you promised!"
"I said I would take you to the sea, but I meant the beach, not on a boat!"
"Come on! Just this once!" she asked beseechingly.
"Angrboda! You know how I hate water!"
"But you won't even have to touch it! You can stay on the boat!"
"Why can't you just go by yourselves?"
"But it's no fun without you!"
"No, and that's final."
She gave a sigh of defeat, but there was a glint in her eyes. "Children, your father says he will not set foot on a ship, which means we cannot go to sea."
Immediately, three pairs of watery eyes fixed themselves on him. "Father! You must come!"
"But Hel-"
"Daddy! You promised!"
"I know, Fenrir, but-"
"We've been waiting all year!"
"Jörmungandr-"
"Pleeeeeaaaase!" three voices said together.
He glared at her, his eyes saying You are sooo going to pay once this is over!
Her eyes smiled back, saying But you were asking for it.
Finally, he gave way under the pressure of the three children. "Okay, okay. I will come with you on the ship."
"Yay!"
"You are the best, father!"
"Hooray for Daddy!"
And so, five figures on a small ship sailed towards the horizon and disappeared into the blood red sunset.
