Yes, time is like a river. Both seemed to always move forward, never ceasing in their natural states…and Demyx was determined to win at least once against Luxord…which explains why they were now playing a game of Old Maid.

Luxord, being a notorious gambler(Hello! He's called the 'gambler of fate' for a reason) and ever persistent to show off how he never loses, had happily taken up Demyx's offer, even though he detested the game and it's relative simplicity.

Demyx, however, loved the game, as it was the only game he usually won when playing cards against anybody…except Roxas(who never cared for card games), Larxene(who refused to play with him), and Xigbar(though, Demyx always thought Xiggy let him win…).

After a grueling hour, they were down to the last three cards, with Demyx holding a joker and the ace of spades, and Luxord holding the ace of diamonds, meaning it was the Nobody of Time's turn. Picking one of the cards in Demyx's hand, the british nobody swore quite loudly, having picked the joker, letting Demyx have a chance to win(though, not on purpose).

Victory is close at hand, the gambler thought, smirking as Demyx seemed to struggle picking a card, and his face fell when the Melodious Nocturne picked the ace of diamonds.

"I won!" the nobody of water cried out, his hands shooting into the air above him, followed by a small victory dance.

"…How did this happen? I don't understand…play me again!" Luxord never lost…never! This was unheard of!

Shaking his head, Demyx started to leave the room, saying "Maybe later? I just wanted to win once, so I'm good for now."

After the mulleted rocker left, Luxord smirked as he realized a new game to play, one that involved him, Demyx, and a bed…and maybe a pair of handcuffs…

I guess…Luxord gets off on when people can actually beat him…seeing as how no one ever does…cept Sora…who kills him…FOR NO REASON!!!

Another short oneshot…I might stick to these for awhile…
