Chapter 1
After Lorelai hangs up with Rory and Emily Lorelai sees Alex coming out of the bathroom just wrapped in a towel.
''Morning hun.'' he says and kisses her
Lorelai kisses him back ''good morning did you have a good shower?'' she asks him and smiles
''I did was that Rory?'' he asks her
''it was.'' she tells him and smiles
''so how'd everything go last night with that boy?'' he asks her
''uh well she stayed the night at my mother's because she and Jess got into a fight and he stormed out.'' she tells him
''what?'' he says
''what happened?'' he asks her
''well Jess apparantly got into a big fight with Rory's old because I hate using the word ex boyfriend Dean and showed up at my mother's house with a big black eye.'' she tells him
''oh man poor girl.'' he says sumpathically
''she's fine she'll get over itor him eventually I hope.'' she tells him
''what did your mother think?'' he asks her
''well she kept calling him a thug.'' she tells him
''well he is a punk isn't he?'' he asks her
Lorelai just scofts ''uh yea he is.'' she tells him
''so when are we heading back?'' she asks him
''I don't know whenever you want.'' he tells her
''I just figured that we could spend the day here in the city with Sookie and Jackson and maybe go see the Statue of Liberty on the ferry and then head back so you will be back in time to have dinner with your daughter.'' he tells her
''okay sounds good.'' she says
''good.'' he says
''I'll call Sookie and Jackson.'' she tells him
''good.'' he says and starts to get dressed
