You rushed to UA at top speed, careful to not be late by a second. This day was possibly the most important in your life so far, and you couldn't afford to be late. You tugged at your gloves, your sprint not failing. However, your sprint was so hard, when you checked your watch you crashed into someone. "Ouch… Sorry." You muttered, having half tripped over them, so they had fallen on top of you. A girl with brown locks in a bob cut that was wrapped up in a thick coat on the cooler day, and her bag on the floor, was brushing her hair out of her face as she looked into your (E/C) eyes with interest.
"Oh! Um… No problem!" She said, getting up off you and helping you up. Both of you, were wearing gloves. It wasn't any more than chilly, so you were interested in why. As the two of you walked in an awkward silence, you realized something.
"Are you going to UA as well?" You asked, and the quiet girl next to you glanced over.
"Yeah. You are?" You grinned and nodded, giving a thumbs up.
"Plus Ultra as they say! What's your Quirk?" You asked, removing your gloves, revealing little pads on your fingers, ready to show yours.
She took off her gloves, and touched your now bare hand with little pads on her fingers. Then you began to float, slowly but surely. Instead of flailing about, you just stared at your new friend hopefully, praying that she would let you down. She tapped her fingertips together, and you fell. With a grin you chuckled, and then asked her to give you her scarf. She handed it over, and you tapped it with your finger pads, and it became much heavier. At least 30 times heavier. You handed it back over, and she struggled with it for a moment. You clapped your hands together, and your Quirk cancelled out.
"Hypergravity! It's let me multiply the gravity of any I touch with my finger pads by 30! However, I can't amplify but so much, so I need to be careful lest I begin to feel the negative effects…" You couldn't stand after a while. Very annoying and dangerous repercussion.
"Really?! My Quirk is Zero Gravity! I remove the effects of gravity of anything I touch with my finger pads!" She said with new energy, and the two of you put your gloves back on. As this new connection started to form, your phone went off.
The alarm said, 'RUN BOY! YOU GOT FIVE MIN…' The notice was too long for it to fit on screen, but you got the message.
"Come on... " You began to reach for her hand, but then realized something. "What's your name?" You asked, bouncing back and forth on the balls of your feet, not knowing the girl's name yet really wanting to run.
"Oh! I'm Ochaco Uraraka! You are?" She said, taking your hand and the two of you began to jog.
"I'm (Y/N) Juryoku!" You said as you ran the rest of the way to UA. Upon arriving the two of you had to split due to different seating areas, and you made your way to your seat. As Present Mic blabbed on and on about the rules and bots you had already studied, you couldn't help but think of Uraraka, who possessed a Quirk so similar, and yet so different to yours. When you heard some guy start yelling, you just sunk your head lower than it was and drowned it out with some background music produced by your phone and earbuds.
After everyone began to leave, you followed to go get changed. In some jogging pants and a sweatshirt, no gloves, you walked out onto the starting line. Stretching, you waited for the symbol to go. When you began to float while you touched your toes, you knew you had been tagged from behind. You were dropped, and playfully tagged Uraraka on the nose with one finger. When she collapsed you quickly caught her, without difficulty. She was three times heavier, as your Quirk only multiplied a person's gravity by three.
You released your Quirk, and before she could do more than puff out her cheeks, Present Mic yelled for you all to begin. In the same instant you vanished from Uraraka's line of sight. You had broken out into a hard sprint, and managed to make it to the front of the pack. In the same few opening moments, you saw a robot, and extended your hand. One touch later and the thing collapsed like a humongous weight fell upon it. It was counted as downed, and you quickly ran to the next one, dodging about through the crowd of possible students. You went to tag any green beast you could find, trying to get them in packs so when they fell, they crushed one another.
You paused to take a break, as your Quirk and running so much was draining your stamina and making your legs weak. As you clapped your hands together, a boy slammed into you. He had green hair, and it was curly. You let him recover, and then left him be. Tagging more bots and more bots, you saw one floating. Uraraka had to be nearby, but considering both of your objectives, you didn't actively hunt her down. You were light on your feet, occasionally dodging a student that was being knocked away by a robot, and forcing it to collapse.
Faster than you expected, and after three more breaks, time was nearly up. You wiped some of the blood that dripped from your mouth after taking a hit for a small guy with grape hair from a robot swing. As you looked around, you saw a floating robot. With a smile you ran in the direction of it, when you saw a large robot charging toward your entire group. As everyone did the sensible thing and ran, it punched the ground. Seemingly on instinct, you jumped, and the shockwave didn't bother you, but you were pretty much blinded by the dust cloud. As it cleared, you saw her. She was trapped under rubble, you just got conked on the head by a rock, and this green and black haired kid was scrambling away. After clearing your bloodied eyes, you broke out in a hard sprint. You remembered something about Present Mic talking down about that faux villain, but you couldn't help it. This gigantic thing was nothing but your prey, and you rushed it. You rushed it quick and when you felt another shock wave from behind you cursed, only to find the boy that was scrambling away, leaping at the beast, with a huge crater left behind him. Ignoring the All Might-esque jump, you got close enough to tag the robot, just as it was knocked off balance by a full power punch to the face. It's slow fall increased thirty-fold, and there was an earthquake from the force it hit the ground with. After recovering, you laughed and then were fallen upon.
Before you could say anything to either the boy who fell on you, or the girl that just let it happen, Present Mic roared that the test was over. You quickly realized the immense weight of the thing you just forced to collapse, as you couldn't move you legs at all. That in combination with this crazy jumping and punching person on your back, you just sighed and waited. After he was removed, you glanced over to Uraraka, who wasn't doing so well. Based on the puddle of… Let's just say rainbows, you could tell she needed some help. You clapped your hands together, muttering 'release', and rose. With a yawn you rose, and took the woozy girl off her mechanical perch. "Too many bots?" You questioned, and she slumped against you. "I'll take that as a yes. And walk on your own, my legs are chopsticks right now." When you both fell over, you knew you knew you had a wait before either of you were moving about anywhere.
As you laid in silence, Uraraka collecting herself and you trying to forcefully beat some feeling back into your legs, she muttered something. You tapped her, as a gesture to make her repeat herself. "That boy… He said he hadn't gotten a single point…" You had to give her props there. You couldn't hear his complaints after basically having your legs sat on by 1000 pounds then then having them dropped on by a human boy.
"Oh well. He should have been better prepared." You responded in contempt.
"Come on, Juryoku! He saved us!" She said, rising and lifting you help with some difficulty as the two off you stumbled out of the dummy city.
"I would have had that. All I needed to do was touch the damn thing and it would have been destroyed." You said, and she rolled her eyes, yet nodded. "Where are we going?" You asked, realizing she was leading the both of you.
"We got enough points. We could probably lend him some…" You looked at her like she was crazy. "J…"
"Fine! At least let's go get changed first." As you managed to stand on your own, you realized something. "Do you even know that kid's name?" Her caramel orbs widened, and you sighed. "Welp, he had green and black curly hair and green eyes. Let's hope no one else shares this distinct traits." You said as you waved to her as you both went to go change. After a quick outfit swap, you joined her as you went to the teachers, you following directions from the robot that you found shooing away students. All it took was a quick threat of destruction, from Uraraka surprisingly enough, to get it to give the two of you directions. You knew never to get on her bad side, lest you be sent into the stratosphere.
When the two of you arrived at the teacher's room, you stumbled back. The Number 1 Hero, the most powerful person in Japan stood before you. To say the least, you were intimidated. "Ah! Miss Uraraka, and Mister Juryoku I do believe. What is it that you need?" He asked, and while you nearly fumbled over your words, Uraraka stated your collective plea. When he laughed, it seemed to you that the earth shaked. So, as he explained that Midoriya had even surpassed you in points with 60, thanks to him 'Saving' so many, you touched All Might's hand, and ran off before you saw him fall and all the other teachers ran to his aid. Uraraka chased you down, after you clapped your hands together and yelled an apology.
"Juryoku! You're crazy!" Uraraka called.
"Yes! You'll come to love it!" You called back, as you sprint gradually overpowered hers the more your legs came back. "Gotta run! Wish you luck! Glad we didn't lose points!" You called as you vanished in the crowd of Japan, running home.
A little time passed, and you got the letter. While you were filled with energy, you tore the letter apart savagely, and took the holo-caster inside. You had made it! 1-A! The top class! You released a river of happy tears that made the thing malfunction, and you quickly went to find something to put out the slowly growing fire on your desk. After taking care of that, and more time passing, you began to think on your possible classmates. Green-black leg crusher was probably a shoe-in, you saw this one guy with engine legs zooming about, and then your thoughts fell back to your fellow force manipulator. Uraraka's image sat stagnant in your mind, and as you played around with a meditation ball, you accidently activated your Quirk. When the tiny ball of steel crashed through the floor, your mother yelled at you from the hole in the ceiling as you clapped your hands together.
When you got off the train for your first day of school, you ran into her. "You owe me 50,000 yen." You said offhandedly as the two of you strolled to school, and she stared at you.
"What'd I do?" She asked in shock, and you chuckled.
"You cost me a ceiling/floor, that's what." You offered, and she playfully slapped you on the back. Then you began to float, and you were grabbed by the ankle, and dragged into the building. People had questions, many, many questions as they saw a nearly 5'2" girl dragging a teenage boy in midair, seemingly with no effort. When the two of you arrived at class, it was a pretty awkward for the both of you. Uraraka went up in pink as you waved to the class of 1-A. She let go, and you slowly floated to the ceiling. "Hello, everyone. I'm (Y/N) Juryoku. Nice to meet you all!" You were quickly getting lightheaded from standing upside down on the ceiling.
Uraraka tapped her fingertips together just as the teacher slithered into the room, meaning you landed on him. Off to a fantastic start! As you got off your sleepy homeroom teacher, who you just gave the rudest of awakenings, he sighed and stood.
"A sneak attack on the first day, huh Mr. Juryoku?" He asked, and you backed off. "First, you cause an earthquake by collapsing robots, next you down All Might, and now drop from ceilings. I like your style." Due to his monotone voice, you had absolutely no clue if you were off the hook or this strange pro hero was going to murder you. The latter was not likely, but not entirely ruled out. Then again, it was probably very likely the longer you stood there dumbfounded and didn't go to your seat. So you quickly dove for your seat before the man could execute the execution.
You took a seat behind Uraraka, lightly poking her back. "Look at what you did. Now he's going to kill me."
"He's a hero, he won't do that." She whispered back.
"That man has killing intent, like I've never felt before. He's going to murder me, all because of you."
"Any way I can make it up to you?" She asked back, and you shrugged.
"No clue. Din…"
"Ready, Juryoku, you're up." You flinched, as the entire class turned.
"Yes, sir?" You questioned, What had he been saying, what had he been saying, what had he been saying?!
"Have you been listening? You or Ms. Uraraka?" Then it hit you, he was holding an outfit.
"Yes, sir!" You walked up, grabbed the uniform, and went to change. You came back, and Aizawa stared at you.
"How did you…"
"I know things, sir, I know things. Everyone! Let's go get changed and ready!" You called, pumping your fist as everyone rushed Aizawa for their uniform. Uraraka purposely bumped into you, and you chuckled as she glared at you. As you two had a quiet moment together, green and black hair boy walked up to you two.
"Um… hi! You're Juryoku, r-right?" He asked, and you really wanted to kick him.
"Yeah, and I'm Uraraka!" Your friend said, bowing, and you really didn't want to. She flashed her fingertips at you, and you sighed and bowed. When you rose you found a sputtering mess staring at your rosy cheeked friend, who was giggling at the sight.
"I-I'm, I'm Izuku… Midoriya!" He spat out, and you sighed again. Before you could send a jab to Midoriya, you and him both were grabbed by a tall, dark blue haired, glasses wearing assailant and dragged outside. Upon being dragged outside, you had Aizawa explain the situation to you all. When the expelling rule was brought up, you stiffened. You just had your legs, SLAUGHTERED for this damn school. No way you were getting expelled.
You glanced at Midoriya and Uraraka, one looking horrified and staring at his hands, and the other looking mad, but filled with determination. You couldn't help but smile at the latter. In the 50-Meter dash, you had no support from your Quirk. Ironically, you raced against Uraraka, who's Quirk assisted her greatly. "Good luck." You said, hopping back and forth on your feet.
"Same to you. Please don't get expelled." She said, and in shock of her statement your turned your head to hide your flustered-ness. You got ready, waited for the robot to say set, and then burst down the fifty meters as fast as you could. Unsurprisingly, having quite a pair of strong legs thanks to your weight increasing Quirk's reprucssions, you smoked Uraraka by almost a full second. You took a few deep breaths, and grinned at Uraraka as she gained her strength back. Next up was the grip strength test, and you realized something. You Quirk could trick the circuits out of this thing! You gripped as hard as you could, then touched it with your other hand. Thanks to the multiplier of 30 weighing the thing down in your hand, combined with your natural grip strength, gave you a grip strength of 1200 kilograms. That blew away everyone, as the only other high one was 540 kilograms. You laughed at Uraraka's meager score of 37 kilos. You did pretty bad in the standing long jump as you couldn't use your Quirk effectively, while Uraraka laughed as she just kept on going and going and going. Then you acted as a wall while she released many more rainbows. Plenty of rainbows.
Then with a sustained sideways jump, you did alright, but still ran out of stamina too quick to do anything impressive. Uraraka did even worse than you. You cried at the Pitch test, because while Uraraka somehow, SOMEHOW threw infinity. Even she had no logical explanation for how, that would mean that the ball would literally have to go across the universe. You barely threw it 50 meters. Even Bakugo's throw was nothing to her, and his was 700 meters. Then, Midoriya was up. Uraraka was worried, and you personally did not care. Better him than you. Upon throwing it, he threw it even less of a distance than you did. You laughed, but were instantly silenced when the scarf around Aizawa's neck rose, and captured Midoriya. When you heard him say he cancelled out Quirks, all your fears were realized. This man, was going to kill you.
"Uraraka, I'm dead." You whispered, and Uraraka giggled. After some scolding, Midoriya threw again. Over 700 meters. While everyone cheered, you were the cynical person and raising Uraraka's hand, to her embarrassment, the girl who threw infinity. The rest of the test went by without a hitch, you doing just fine overall. Uraraka did well too, and the two of you high fived, accidentally activating your respective Quirks. As you floated, she collapsed, and that earned a laugh from the rest of 1-A, minus a few. You deactivated your Quirk and she deactivated hers, and the both of you resumed normal positioning. Upon reviewing the scores once again, you saw that Midoriya had gotten last.
While Uraraka gasped, you shrugged. "Not very surprising. He had the least impressive performance." You offered as an explanation. "His Quirk is amazing, but…"
"You all pass! No one gets expelled!" You collapsed. This man!
"Sir, you said…"
"You were hoping for Midoriya to get expelled, were you Juryoku?" Oh, this guy was good. "Anyway, it was nothing more than a logical ruse! I needed to bring out your full potential somehow!" You had given up, this man was unreadable, no matter how much you tried. "Good day to you all! Good luck for the rest of your time here." As he walked off, you were so tempted to tag him, and then drop a few tagged rocks on top.
"Uraraka, I don't think I'll make it through the year." You said as the two of you walked back to the school to change.
"I'll be fine, as long as we don't have too many more logical ruses…" She responded, and as the two of you shared a shaky laugh. As you were about to say something, that blue haired guy from before grabbed you.
"You! Your name, please."
"Juryoku. She calls me (Y/N), though." You said, elbowing Uraraka with a wink.
When she went up in red, and began to sputter, the blue haired man gasped. "So! You two are already rather close. You wouldn't happen to be in a relationship on the first day?" As Uraraka continued to sputter, you laughed.
"No… At least I don't think so, Ochaco…"
"Juryoku, stop!" She managed to get out, fanning herself.
"Only if you call me by my first name!" You cooed, loving this new scenario and side of Uraraka.
"No!"
"Ochaco…" You repeated, and she just walked faster.
"The two of you could've of fooled me." The blue haired man said.
"What is your name?" You asked, casually grabbing Uraraka's hand when she slowed down enough that you could manage it.
"I'm Tenya Iida! Nice to meet you, Juryoku, and…"
"Uraraka." Uraraka answered, making you float again and dragging you through the air. You didn't really fight it, and waved to Midoriya as he ran up to the rest of you before going to get his finger healed.
After changing, getting homework, and the day ending, you met up with Uraraka. "Sorry about earlier. Just thought it would be funny." You said, and she smiled at you.
"No problem, (Y/N)..." She responded slyly, leaning into your personal space.
"Oh, I see how it is, Ochaco…" You stated slyly, leaning back. Both of you bore evil looks, but neither of you had any intention of truly doing anything more than literal name calling. When you heard a camera click, you snapped your head to the direction of it. Some blonde guy, no importance to you. You ran, touched his phone, and watched as it shattered upon hitting the floor. There were no words, blondie understood the situation here. One wrong move and he was going to look like his phone. When you went back to Uraraka, she had just finished typing something into your phone. When you checked, mentally swearing to drop her out of a window with three times her gravity if she did anything bad.
'Ochaco Uraraka'. Her phone number and a little picture of her with her tongue out. She already had gotten a picture of you, destroying blondie's phone. Without much questioning, you took your phone back and smiled at her. She returned the gesture, and you all left the school. Staring at the new number of your new friend, you couldn't help but laugh and think. How were you going to set up a time to hang out without sounding creepy?
Two weeks passed, and life at UA was becoming simpler and simpler. All your classes weren't too hard, you had a group of four in Uraraka, Iida, and Midoriya. Even Mr. Aizawa was becoming easier to read, and that meant every single homeroom was a fun battle of wits, and the losing condition was expulsion, and the winning condition was a personal high.
"So, you see sir, that is why the Zero to Hero Gravity Gamble is the ultimate combo move that exists in this class and you know it!" You declared, Uraraka warily backing you.
"I still believe that the floating nuke is the better move. More usage, destructive capability, easier to access."
"If we're villains, yes, heroes no. The Zero to Hero allows for a clean attack, not harming any civilians in the area, dominating the opponent, and is virtually unblockable because all we have to do is TOUCH our opponent. Then, they are done."
"That in combination with the positive civilian reaction due to just being two friends taking down a villain, rather than two allies blowing up a villain." Uraraka finished, and without looking the two of you high fived, dodging fingers due to practice after many accidental Quirk activations.
"Huh. Good job you two, you win." You fist pumped just like Uraraka did, and she quickly wrapped her arms around you, which you returned. "Alright, don't get all sappy in front of me. Go take your seats." The two of you laughed and obeyed orders.
"That was great Uraraka!" You said, grinning at her as she laughed in front of you. Before your conversation could go any further, the door slammed open. Before you could run, All Might came strolling into the room. Before you could even hide, the strongest hero glared at you from across the room, and while everyone was marveling at his Silver Age costume you were warming up your legs for a run, and identifying the closest window.
"Students! I AM HERE!" The class cheered, and you couldn't help but join them after realizing he had no killing intent. "Now then! GO GET CHANGED! You are no longer just students, you! Are! HEROES!" He pointed to the suitcases that appeared on the wall. Everyone bum rushed the wall, you having to drop some guy with a strange head shape, a bird man, and a frog girl when they thought it would be funny to try and shove you out of the way. All it took was some finger taps, and everyone who challenged you was groaning in pain on the floor. You snagged your suitcase, snickered, and ran off to change after clapping your hands together.
After putting on your suit, which was nothing but some fingerless gloves, some baggy black cargo pants littered with stars held up by a belt, which held leg braces to help you stand after abusing your quirk, and a white shirt littered with black specks, and a little backpack that contained steel balls that could be used to weigh down opponents. Or break bones, whichever came first. With a pair of goggles that were black, you were ready to be a hero. You walked out with you class, twiling a steel ball in your hands. Five pounds right now, and in an instant, it could be one-hundred and fifty. While you were snickering to yourself, you were tapped on the shoulder and began to float. When you swung your steel ball in order to turn around, you pretty broke mentally.
Uraraka's suit was skin tight, and thus showed off all her more alluring features. She dropped you, which you couldn't react to in time so you pretty much slammed into the ground face first. You rose, wiping your bloody nose which happened for two reasons, luckily she only knew one. "I know… It's a little revealing…" SHIT! SHE KNEW! "I didn't really get specific on the outfit so I guess this is what I get…" She looked at you closely, and the blood would not stop. Your white shirt was being stained quicker by the second. "How do you like it?" She asked softly.
"Fantastic." You answered quickly, giving a thumbs up. "What about me?" You asked, hiding the blood stained arm and fixing your goggles.
"I love the space theme! It looks good on you!" You went up in flames mentally when she began tugging at your shirt, looking a the little black specks closer. "I like the inverse… Oh, hey Deku!" You whirled around to see Midoriya in the same situation as you, broken mentally at the sight of a skin tight Uraraka. Even so, instead of helping, you laughed.
"All Might doesn't have green hair, you know that right, Deku?" You had started calling him that too, you couldn't help It was shorter than Midoriya at least.
"Is it that obvious?" He asked, and you nodded profusely.
"All of you! Silence!" Iida ordered, sending a chop specifically at you. You raised a hand, threatening to touch his admittedly cool looking suit of Ingenium based armor. You weren't sure how much it weighed, but you knew it would do some damage if you got your hands on it. As the two of you had a stare down, All Might, who was chuckling at the exchange, cleared his throat. Both of you turned and stood still and silent, one out of respect, the other out of a mix of respect and fear.
"Now then! You will have a battle exercise today! You will be broken up into teams of two, a two on two battle of heroes versus villains! The heroes will be invading the villain's home turf, whilst the villains defend a weapon!" Sounded interesting enough. If you were the hero, villain side just sounded like a game of keep away. "Now then! The teams!" He reached into boxes, pulling out slips with letters on them. He quickly handed them out, and you got yours. A. You looked about for the other A, and when it came down to it, Uraraka was you partner. You fist bumped with her, both of you not having the slightest guards for your Quirks right now.
While the two of you were excited, when you heard who you were facing, you got worried AND even more excited. Bad combo. Katsuki Bakugo and Tenya Iida. One you knew wouldn't kill you, the other… You hoped they wouldn't maim you. Either way, both of you were the heroes, and you were up first! Fantastic!
You and Uraraka approached the building, Uraraka taking the lead. When All Might said to get started, you did just that. Both you and Uraraka broke into a sprint, and began debating. "Do we try and bait Bakugo?" You questioned, not sure if just hunting them down with only fifteen minutes was your best option.
"You can try, I guess. What'll we do when he rushes us?" You flashed your fingertips.
"Isn't it obvious? Touch him. We do have the Zero to Hero Gravity Gamble."
"That's a really long name the more I think on it."
"Oh well, it's what you got! HEY! BAKUGO! COME OUT AND FIGHT ME YOU PRISSY EXPLODING BITCH!" You yelled, hearing your voice echo. When you got no response at first, you sighed in defeat.
"DEKU'S A BETTER FIGHTER THAN YOU BAKUGO!" Uraraka yelled, and then you heard detonations.
After about… 30 seconds, he came flying around a corner. "THE FUCK YOU SAY ROUND-FACE?!"
"Dodge!" She yelled and both of rolled out of the way. He quickly recovered, and you and Uraraka slid to a stop. "I don't think we can touch him, Juryoku."
"We can't, but this can." You got a steel ball ready, increasing it's weight. Your Quirk, didn't really affect you unless you let it. You could hold amplified things pretty easily, and you did enjoy the power high of lifting a 20 turned 600 pound weight easily while your dad, who's quirk allowed him to multiply his strength by thirty times, struggled. So, when Bakugo rushed you again at top speed, you did the logical thing and chucked the 150 pound steel ball directly into his abdomen with he was two feet away. When he coughed up blood from the sudden force in his stomach, you and Uraraka ran from where he came from. He had left explosion marks everywhere, easily guiding you to your needed destination. When you found the door, which didn't take nothing more than one humongous explosion to the back and touching Bakugo, leaving him struggling to lift his head up, not to talk of chasing you, Uraraka walked in alone after you two made a plan.
"Foolish hero! You may have stalled my accomplice due to his foolish arrogance with that friend of yours, but you are hopeless!" Iida gestured to the spotless room about him. "This very place is absolutely clean! You have no projectiles to throw at…" Uraraka lifted the steel ball she asked you for, twirling it between her fingers. "What in the name of villainy is that?!" You have to give him props, this was hilarious, especially when he added the strangely over dramatic voice to the equation. Even Uraraka was laughing, pretty much destroying the hero vibe.
When she touched the ball to her fingertips, it began to float. Then you threw your ball, which had no gravity alterations on it, smacking the floating one directly at Iida. His eyes snapped open beneath the helmet and he dodged, and you slid into the room as he hoisted the weapon to safety, the weightless ball slamming into the wall. Uraraka cancelled her Quirk, and both of you glared Iida down.
"Villain, surrender now and we won't have to hurt you!" You declared in a deep voice. You barely held back your laugh.
"You? A filthy HERO, DARE even lay a hand on me?!" Iida declared. "You fool!" Uraraka tagged you hand, you you began to float.
"Moreso my fingertips!" You said with a cocky grin, and Uraraka spun you around, and launched you at Iida, who dodged. You springboarded off the wall and lunged at him again, Iida dodging again. The game of cat and mouse continued, you speeding up thanks to your perpetual motion and lack of gravity not slowing you down, and Iida getting more and more tired from carrying the weapon. Uraraka was not helping Iida's case as she laid steel balls everywhere, dropping them quick and nearly tripping Iida up. Finally, when Iida paused to breathe, both you and Uraraka lunged, latching onto the weapon.
"The heroes have WON!" All Might declared over the loudspeakers. You pumped you fists, making the mistake of taking both hands off the weapon, and beginning to float with the weapon once Iida dropped it. Realizing your precarious situation as your partner dropped off, you touched the weapon again, and then it fell through the floor thanks to it's new weight. When Uraraka released her Quirk, you released yours with a clap.
Afterwards, Iida was disappointed and Bakugo was livid! He keep threatening to kill you for putting him through that hell, and you gestured to your detonated back, flipped him off, and ran when he began to chase you. Then Uraraka tagged him, and he began to float, and then that only helped him chase you down as you sprinted even harder. Then tagged him, and laughed as everyone watched him suffer under 3 times gravity.
After the rest of the trials, which went hilariously honestly, Midoriya helping Todoroki destroy Shoji and Hagakure, and a few other outcomes, you finally went to go get your bad back patched up. You didn't know how bad it was until you thought the ceiling was ground and vice versa.
A short elderly lady greeted you, with a cane. "Hello young man! Your name?"
"Juryoku."
"Recovery Girl, the school nurse. Come in." You sat down, and suddenly got a huge kiss on the shoulder. You passed out.
Uraraka walked in later, finding Recovery Girl typing away at her computer while you quietly snoozed in the corner bed, shielded from her line of vision. "Hello, Ms. Recovery Girl she said, her backpack and uniform on. The day had continued without you, there wasn't much. She had handed in your homework for you, and collected the new homework for you. "Where's Jury?"
The woman turned from her chair. "Jury?"
"Um, yeah. Yay high, (E/C) eyes, (H/C) hair about that long. Cocky smile?" Uraraka offered, and then as Recovery Girl opened her mouth, Uraraka covered hers. "Oh! I called him Jury! Juryoku." Recovery Girl nodded, and gestured to you, still asleep in the bed.
"He took a dangerous hit to the back. Also he was low on blood for some reason." Recovery Girl offered as she walked over to you. "You're his friend, I assume?" Recovery Girl asked the brown haired girl, and she laughed.
"Yup! Is he doing alright?" Uraraka asked, and the nurse nodded.
"He was just heavily fatigued, so my Quirk knocked him out. I need him to wake up soon though, in order to wrap his wound." Uraraka's face went blank.
"Huh?"
"My Quirk couldn't heal him fully. Actually, young lady, since you are here, help me remove his… The remains of his shirt." Uraraka went up in a bright red, but not about to lose this opportunity, complied. She picked at the remains, slowly removing your shirt. Recovery Girl silently laughed at Uraraka's red as a rose face as she removed your blown up remains. "I'll need to go get some ointment." Recovery Girl walked out, and Uraraka was left with you.
"Jury… You seriously had to you and get yourself hurt like this…" She muttered beneath her breath, and had finally gotten the remains of your shirt fully own. "Wake up you lazy bum…" She angrily whispered with cheeks puffed out, shaking you gently. You groaned and slowly opened your eyes, afraid to see the 3 foot nurse shaking you awake. When you found a pair of deep chocolate concerned eyes glancing worriedly into your drowsy (E/C) orbs, your face got EXTREMELY flustered. "Hey, Jury! Finally! I've been here for hours!"
Jury? "Jury?" You asked, your first time hearing the nickname.
"Yeah, Jury, short for Juryoku."
"Okay, then, Ura, sorry for you holding you here." You muttered, sitting up. Then you realized your lack of a shirt, and grinned. "So, Ura..." You hadn't even noticed her shocked reaction from her rather rushed nickname, "You've just been staring at me shirtless for hours? Didn't know you were that kind of girl."
"I-I'll… I'll… I…"
"Float me out the window Ura, come on now…" You said teasingly, taking her hand, carefully avoiding her with your own fingerpads. "Do it."
"I'll do something…" She touched you, and you got horrified as the window was open. When you floated she held you down, pinning you with you on your stomach. You couldn't swipe at her, so she just casually had you pinned. "Oh, it is rather nasty… Though it is already scabbing." She said, and you, in your rather unfortunate state nodded. "I guess I'll have…"
The door opened, and Midoriya walked in. "Recovery Girl I…" The green and black haired boy did not expect to see his two friends in their current awkward position, and while you busted out laughing at his shocked, and slightly betrayed reaction from your compromised position, Uraraka was flustered.
"Deku! Help she's gonna… Mmfh!" She had forced your head directly into the pillow. That's when Recovery Girl walked back in.
After a quick explanation of the situation from the older woman, Deku calmed and you were being patched up by Uraraka, who was sitting on the bed behind you. "Don't get blown up again."
"I make no promises." You responded.
"Make one."
"Make none." You playfully responded again, and she hit your back. "OW!" You shouted, gaining the attention of the others in the room. "Really Ura?" You grumbled, and she giggled. "That's not funny!"
"Neither are you!"
You sighed, and said, "Fine, I promise to try to not to get blown to bits again."
"Ah!"
"I can't help it if that guy wants to kill me! I'm the victim here!"
"You're a cute victim who shouldn't be getting hurt like this… It's too much damage…" She muttered beneath her breath, and you weren't sure on what she said so you didn't make a comment. You didn't turn either, so you did not understand why her hands suddenly froze on your back. She resumed quickly though, and in a few minutes you were getting bandages.
"Over, and under, over and under." Recovery Girl instructed as Uraraka bandaged you. "Nice work, young lady."
"Why are you doing this Ura?" You asked, far from mad, better than the nurse wrapping you up but you were interested in why she bothered to learn.
"I wanna be a rescue hero like 13. Learning how to take care of the wounded is the number one priority." Uraraka explained cheerfully, and you quietly nodded. Midoriya was waiting for you two silently staring at the little scene. "So, Jury, what're you gonna tomorrow?" She asked you, and you raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing, why?" It was the weekend, and all you planned to do was sleep in profusely after the tiring day.
"Wanna hang out?" She asked cheerfully, and you nodded. You smirked, but didn't dare look at Midoriya's face.
"Sure! No problem."
"Great! I'll text you later!" You two were done, and while you were sore, you were alright.
Then the door busted open. "Juryoku! My natural forces manipulating friend! Are you alright?!" Iida asked, causing you to raise an eyebrow, looking for a shirt, finding the button up part of your uniform. You put it on, and chuckled at your friend.
"How long have you been out there?" You asked, grinning at him. The door had been cracked open the entire time.
"Only ten minutes."
"Since Ura started wrapping me up?!" You asked, shocked. You expected a minute, maybe three, nevermind it was Iida. The man was crazy.
"Yes, I did not want to interrupt." Insane.
"So, see all of you later?" You asked, taking you new work and thanking Recovery Girl for her help. They nodded and you all separated.
Later that night, after explaining to your parents why you had a wrapped up upper body, and holding your dad back from storming the school. You managed to explain that the guy that did this had an explosion quirk and not a grenade, he calmed. Luckily, since you could only multiply the gravity of living organisms by three, with his Quirk that was like a light breeze. As you sat in your room, rubbing your sore back, you phone went off.
You picked up and read the text. Hey, Jury! Is 2 outside UA okay for a meet up spot? You quickly sent back a yes. Great! See you there tomorrow! Wear something comfortable! You grinned, and then went to sleep. Upon sleeping in, like you planned, you woke up with a large yawn. At around 12, you saw a note with an outfit beneath it.
Your mom, Read your texts. Made an outfit, wear it, or you'll be sleeping with moles. Your mother's Quirk allowed amplify gravity up to five times, however, from a range. This made her much more dangerous than you considering you needed contact and your Quirk varied on whatever you touched. You quickly put on the outfit after getting ready, and went to snack on something before grabbing some money. You went walking to UA, figuring you had two hours worth of time to kill, and that the little exercise wouldn't kill you.
As you pushed through the crowds on the warmer day, your face locked on the path ahead with some music in your ears. The walk took awhile, but it was peaceful all the way. No villain attacks, the sun was actually a bit hot so you took your black star speckled hoodie and wrapped it around your waist, baring your short dark blue shirt, which in kanji had written I've Got You Starstruck. Before you could even consider that wearing dark jeans was a mistake, you made it UA. As 1:50 rolled around, you had taken a spot on a bench nearby, whistling. Reading an article, you heard a laugh.
You looked up, and saw your friend. "Starstruck, huh?" She asked, wearing a yellow sundress with a metal and a fluffy bracelet on her right wrist, and a little backpack on. That with a little brown belt on and her regular haircut, she looked really cute as you stood to greet her.
"Yup, I know you are Ura. I'll take your bag." You offered, and she giggled.
"Thank you, milord."
"No problem, milady/" You slung her bag over your shoulder as you two began to walk.
"You're here early, Jury." She said, and you nodded.
"I walked, took less time than expected." You answered, following behind her slightly, finding that keeping pace with the bouncy step of the shining girl harder than expected. "I see, you are also here early, Ura, what's with that?"
"Well, I walked too!" She answered quickly, and you nodded. "Also, I am the person leading us on this expedition today, so I figured I'd want to be on time!" She said cheerfully, picking up her pace as a sign of leadership. You sped up your pace, and you two were even today.
"Alright, where are we headed!" She made you stop, reached into her bag with was on your shoulder and dug out a list. For a tiny thing, she was looking for awhile.
"There! So first, since it's such as nice day, I figured we could go for a stroll in this nice park I heard about from Ashido!" She offered, and you nodded. From what little you knew of the pink girl, she was energetic and probably knew a lot about the area. You also knew, according to Mineta, her thighs were other worldly, which made sense from the alien perspective, AND the fact that she probably walked a lot.
"Sounds fun. Lead the way!" You said, and you found out very soon that the park was actually very close. It was a nice little area, and you couldn't help but notice the few couples in the area. As a test, you, without paying much attention, reached for Uraraka's hand, and when you did your hands touched in a fumbling attempt at grabbing each other. In the quick visual exchange you two had, you saw her face up in a scarlet red and you looked away flustered. However, before you could pocket your hand, she grabbed it.
Neither of you said a thing for a few minutes, both of you awkwardly holding hands and trying to avoid finger tip touching. "N-Nice work, yesterday, Ura." You got out after internally debating for awhile on this situation.
"T-Thanks Jury, same to you." She responded, and you could feel her fingers graze across your palm. It tickled a little, and before you could speak again, your hand was gripped tightly. You floated, and she dragged you over to a pond. "Look! There are so many cute ducks!" A small family of little birds was going around, and paused at the sight of you two. As you squatted down to look at the tiny creatures, after Uraraka dropped you, she leaned on your back. You smiled and then reached out for one of the ducklings, and the mother pecked at your hand. Uraraka reached, and questionly, the mother allowed her to pick up her child. "It's so tiny and cute!"
"Yeah, I guess." You responded, reaching out for another duckling. The mother glared at you, but the little duckling still swam to your palm after you dodged the mother's peck. You lifted it, and caressed it's soft feathers with the other side of your hand, being careful to not touch it with your finger pads. Uraraka, unlike you, had caused her duckling to float, and it was flapping about in a crazed confusion.
"Ms. Uraraka, Mr. Juryoku, did you not see the sign?" An older, sultry voice asked, causing you eyes to snap open. "You two deserve… Punishment…"
"MA'AM I'M NOT 18 AND I DO NOT CONSENT TO THIS!" You snapped, carefully laying down the duckling back in the water and grabbing a small two pound rock nearby. One quick touch, and you had sixty pounds on that ready.
When your Quirk suddenly shut down before you could even turn fully, you knew you were screwed. It was a three on two, and all of the three were pro heroes and one of them had the ability had to shatter stone with their voice, another a potent sleeping gas that KO'ed anyone who breathed it in, AND one of them could shut down Quirks. This was a lose lose situation, but hell if you were not getting one of them in the water.
"I still have no idea how you scare him so much. He's not afraid to talk to me casually, and I can kill him." YOU KNEW IT!
"Relax, Shota, and you too Mr. Juryoku. You're aren't in trouble." Your teacher's name was Shota? "Just please, don't play around with the animals." You nodded and bowed,, and Uraraka retook up your hand afterwards. "Now both of you, stay out of trouble." The two of you nodded, and walked off. "I never expected the two of them to be so close." Midnight said.
"I agree. I thought see'd lie someone like Midoriya better." Aizawa said.
"Hey! Relax! They're young, let them do what they want!" Present Mic said, and the trio walked off.
"That was really awkward…" You said, scratching the back of your head.
"Yeah, but the ducklings were worth it." She said, and you smiled, now playfully massaging her palm.
"The mom did not like me."
"The father in the back was fine with you."
"There was a dad?"
"Yeah, in the back of the pond the dad was there" She said, and you nodded. The park's path was nice, and as the two of you stepped along the conversation diminished. You really liked just being around Uraraka, she seemed to emit this calming aura. Little did you know, she felt the exact same way. She would, like you, occasionally steal glances at you, noting your observance of the environment. You would steal glances at her, as well as you could, noting her smile as she looked about. One time the two of you accidently locked eyes, and instead of either of you breaking away you sort of just awkwardly paused.
'Her eyes really sparkle in the light…' You silently thought as you maintained your awkward stance.
'He's really cute when he's flustered…' Uraraka thought at the same time, before quickly realizing you two were blocking the path, and the both of you were slowly beginning to sweat. "Um… Jury, let's go to our next stop. Follow me!" She said happily, holding up your hand and guiding you to a milkshake stand that you had heard of, but never been to. While at the Shaker, she left you at a table and went to go order something. You sat quietly, and your phone went off.
You checked, and saw the text. You lucky BASTARD! When did you hook up with Uraraka?! You seriously regretted giving the short purple pervert your number more and more every single day. As you went to put your phone away, it went off again. I can see you! Kaminari and I are five tables away! You snapped your head around, looking for these two fools so you could teach them a lesson or two about gravity. You saw them, both in trench coats and sunglasses, and you really were about to go over to them and crush them with 300 pound tables when you friend came back over, with a bit more bounce in her step and a light blush on her face.
"You look cheerful." You commented, pocketing your phone after putting it on vibrate.
"Yup! Why wouldn't I be? I'm out with you, aren't I?" You couldn't hide your shocked reaction and she laughed at you.
You sighed, but still grinned. "Ura, what do you like?"
After claiming, she gave you a blank confused look with her head tilted to the side. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, we're good friends by this point, but I don't really know that much about you. I know you want to be a Rescue Hero and like 13, but not much else." You explained and she nodded.
"Well, I like mochi. Strawberry mochi specifically." She offered, and she smiled. "Anything sweet really, and I do also happen to be like you…" She said with a look of appreciation. For a moment you misheard her and thought she said she happened to like you, and before you could sputter out a response, she gestured to your shirt. "I love space! And I one day want to send a camera up into the sky to see where it goes!" SHe said, and quickly you recovered. "What about you, Jury?"
You paused. "I mean, yeah, I like space, a lot because of my Quirk. Then I prefer more combat oriented heroes, as my Quirk could be used better in that field. It won't be helpful to people I'm saving if I multiply the weight of whatever they are trapped under by 30." You said, and she nodded. "I also like you and your Quirk. You have high energy and your ability to remove gravity is an exact counter to mine, which makes it interesting." You had thrown in the first part to test the waters, and when she blushed you knew that something stuck.
"Thank, (Y/N)..." She muttered in response, and you were shocked.
"First name?" You asked, now trying to tease to loosen up the tension.
"Yeah… I guess.. I mean, I really like your personality too, with your stark determination, your wits, and even your cynicism." Her flustered face, slowly turned to a smile. "So, yeah, (Y/N). Call me Ochaco." She said happily, and you nodded.
"Ok, Ochaco, good to…"
"Your milkshake." A man said as he walked over with a large strawberry milkshake, and laid down two straws. He walked away and that left you staring at Uraraka in confusion.
"So… I figured this would be the best time to ask you something… (Y/N)..." She asked, looking down.
"Yeah?" You asked, mentally breaking.
"Do you want to be my boyfriend?" HOLY MOTHER FU…
"Yes." You instantly responded, and she blushed a whole new shade of red while you began to short circuit.
"Are you sure? I mean, we've only known each other for a short while and…"
"Yes, 3000%, yes." You answered, smiling at her.
"Okay! Then we have milkshake to share!" She said happily, putting in her straw, and with the stupidest smile on your face, you did the same.
Yeah, end of Ochaco part one. Yes, part one. I thought about trying to go all the way up to Overhaul Arc, but then laughed, caused I realized I hadn't gotten to the villain attack and was at nearly 10,000 words. I'll add parts to these depending on demand in reviews! Anyway, have fun guessing who's next! Later!
