"How dare he?" Jack fumed as he and Bobby drove to their meeting with Sue's snitch, Howie Fines. He was referring to how Howie had followed Sue to her lunch meeting with the team's rotor, Lucy Dotson. Both men were very angry about that invasion upon Sue's private life by her snitch.
"Well, all that I can say is that if he thinks that it is fine to stalk Sue is that he has another thing coming to him," Bobby stated angrily.
"Doesn't he know that it is not allowed to follow a federal agent like that?" stated Jack as he steered the car into a turning lane.
"The drongo doesn't seem to have brain cells, does he?" Bobby commented.
"He certainly doesn't. And Sue is so innocent. She thinks that he is 'basically harmless' - isn't that how she put it?" Jack said. "She seems to have no clue what could have happened. She needs to realize the facts that life isn't all rosy."
"Hey, it isn't her fault," Bobby defended Sue. "To be fair, you didn't really give her a lot of training on how to do this."
"No," Jack admitted. "I don't mean to blame her. I'll blame myself instead. This is crazy, though. I should have warned her to be careful. I really am quite stupid. Why didn't I think about that? What kind of training agent am I? I really don't know why Eldridge gave me this responsibility. Maybe I should ask for someone else to take over since I seem incapable to do such a simple but important task."
Jack seemed to be turning on himself with a vehemence. Bobby decided to break in before Jack verbally abused himself any more than he already had.
"Jack."
"And I should have said something to Howie, as he seems incapable of finding out anything himself..."
"Jack."
"Why I couldn't see that? It was so obvious. I was..."
"JACK!"
Jack finally stopped his tirade and turned to Bobby. "What?"
"Mate, you need to calm down before we get to this interview or I'll end up having to arrest you for beating Howie to a pulp," Bobby said, half teasingly and half seriously. Jack finally seemed to accept the truth of Bobby's words and nodded.
"Point taken," he said as he pulled into a parking spot. "And here we are."
Bobby nodded and unbuckled his seat belt as Jack removed his keys from the ignition and pocketed them.
"And now we only have to get through this without being aggravated to extreme action by him."
Jack nodded and proceeded with one final statement. "We're going to make it clear, once and for all, that there is no stalking allowed."
