Everything went wrong when I started my internship in UA.

My sister had been talking about the school for practically all our lives. Granted, she'd been eyeing the support course, but it's still UA: the home of some of the greatest heroes, including All Might. Whoever enters UA chooses the painstaking path of the best. Mei has always wanted to make the best gadgets and things for heroes. So when she took the entrance exam, I took it too. When she passed, so did I. After all, I also wanted to be the best.

I wanted to be a hero. I mean, who doesn't, these days? Even my sister is a hero in her own way. When I entered the hero course, I met a lot of kids who also wanted to be the best hero they could be. There was even a kid from Class 1A who talked of nothing but becoming the best. He was always obnoxiously loud, but that was cool; I can understand passion.

It was supposed to be okay. Everything we did made sense, like every step we took was geared towards becoming the best heroes. I may not have been able to get into the top in the sports festival, but I daresay I did alright. I mean, I did get a few contacts for my internship. Given my quirk, I chose to work with a UA teacher: Snipe.

To his credit, he treated me like a colleague; like a proper sidekick. He took me not just on patrols but also on legit missions. I learned a lot: from him, but mostly from what he had me do. Or not do, more like. More than skill, I learned purpose, reason, and determination.

And that's why I dropped out.
