Valentine's Day
Disclaimer: I do not own Prince of Tennis/ Tennis no Ohjisama.
A fifteen year old Echizen Ryoma looked down in disgust at all the pink cards and heart-shaped chocolates in his arms. He didn't want them; hell he didn't even like homemade chocolate that much. They were always too gooey, too sweet, or too sticky. A lot of girls made him chocolate, but he always threw them away every year.
Sighing, he stuffed them all into his locker. Not only was he feeling disgusted at the moment with Valentine's Day, he was also feeling disappointed. No, it was not because he had lost a tennis match (as if the prince of tennis could ever lost), but he had still not received a chocolate from the one that mattered most to him.
"Echizen-san, why the long face?" Turning around, Ryoma saw the calm face of Sakuno's cousin peering at him with a serene smile. Next to her was her boyfriend, Fuji Shyuske, Seigaku High's tennis tensai.
"Nothing," Ryoma murmured in reply, looking away. "I better get going."
With that, he walked away, looking as cool as ever.
Sakura looked at the Ryoma's retreating form with amusement in her eyes. "Ne Shysuke," she inquired, "what's the likelihood he's just disappointed that Sakuno hasn't given him any chocolate yet?'
"Pretty high," Fuji replied, smiling down at his girlfriend. "You're as observant as ever, Sakura."
'Well, he does make it pretty obvious. You would think that he would at least try and hide it," Sakura replied, smiling back
"Does that mean I have to hide my feelings for you?" Fuji teased, giving Sakura a rare genuine smile.
"No it does not." With that, Fuji bent down and kissed Sakura right on the lips.
Later in the school day…
It was lunch now and Ryuzaki Sakuno was looking everywhere for her prince, specifically, Echizen Ryoma. She had not given him her chocolate due to the mob that had surrounded him in the morning.
Where are you Ryoma-kun? Sakuno wondered as she frantically searched for the missing Seigaku Pillar. Your not on the roof, your not at the tennis court, and your not with the other Regulars. That leaves…
Sakuno hurried over to the last possible place Ryoma could be at. And there he was, sprawled out under a sakura tree, sleeping soundly.
Ryoma looks so cute when he's sleeping, Sakuno thought as she smiled.
"Is there something you need, Ryuzaki?" Ryoma suddenly asked, surprising Sakuno at the sudden question.
"Um… no…I mean yes! Eto, I have something for you," Sakuno stammered nervously, face red and hands fidgeting with her skirt.
"Sou? Then what is it?" Ryoma asked in a bored voice.
"Eto… Here!" Sakuno thrust her Valentine's chocolate into Ryoma's hands, looking down as blushed furiously.
Ryoma made no response for a minute or so. Sakuno, taking it to be rejection, hurriedly said, "Ah, sumimasen! I-I shouldn't have bothered giving you-
Her last words were cut off as Ryoma suddenly pulled her face close for a passionate kiss. At first, she was surprised and didn't do anything. But when she felt Ryoma nibbling gently at her lower lip, she gaped and Ryoma slipped his tongue in. Sakuno moaned as the kiss went on, returning it full force.
The two went on until the bell suddenly rang. Cursing the bell inwardly, Ryoma pulled away and smirked cockily at a flustered Sakuno, saying to her as he went to class, "Mada mada dane. Wait for me after school."
Sakuno was too shocked to say anything for a while. Then, she smiled. Ryoma-kun is so shy, was what she was thinking as she too hurried to class.
Fin.
