She stood in the corner of the doorway. Her heart felt heavier with the guilt she carried. Holding back the flow of her tears, she walked closer to Will who was slouching in the cabin chair with his feet resting on the table. With his hand to his mouth, he stared catatonic at his boots. His eyes were filled with frustration.

"Will…?" She asked softly. Elizabeth knew that loosing Jack meant a lot to the crew and even Will, but she didn't realize the affect it would have on the both of them. She approached the table and pulled out the closest chair next to him. She gracefully sat down as she kept her gaze on him. "Will?" Slowly she slid her hand over his fingers. Will flinched as Elizabeth's hand covered his. He quickly pulled away as he stared at her with the pain in his eyes.

"How could you?" The tone in his voice wasn't pleasant. He narrowed his eyes, resting his hand on his lap. "After all we've been through?"

Elizabeth shook her head, confused as to what Will was upset about. Had he seen her kiss Jack on the ship? She now felt the heart break he had felt. It felt as though someone shot a bullet right through her. As she was about to speak Will didn't hesitate to interject.

He arose to his feet, knocking the chair to the floor. He needed to walk off the frustration that was inside of him. "I saw what happened. I didn't think you," He began to pace around the cabin. "..of all people, Elizabeth, would fall for someone like him…" Leaving no room for Elizabeth to jump in, he slammed his fist on the table, looking her square in the eyes. "Do you love him?" With the stern expression on his face, he began to breathe frantically.

She hesitated. Elizabeth hated to see Will in such a state. Her feelings were mixed up. Jack was nothing more than temptation. But he knew so much about her and how she felt. What was she supposed to do? She lowered her head as if deciding who to choose. The guilt and dismal feelings showed. Will stared at her sternly, waiting for her answer. This was absurd; she loved Will and only Will. She would be daft if she chose anyone else.

Elizabeth lifted her head and stared back Will. "..No." She replied.

"Then why did you kiss him?" He didn't want to recap that moment. He tried his best to block the memory. That day, his heart shattered.

"You saw that?" Her face weakened. Will demanded an answer out of her and he had every right to do so.

"Why?" He shouted, pounding the table once again.

"I had to do something to save us!" She fired back. "I. –I acted on impulse." She controlled herself from spinning into rage. "I'm sorry, Will. I never meant to hurt you." She narrowed her eyes as she forced the tears behind. "I had to distract him somehow and that was the best way I could think of at the time." She closed her eyes, feeling the pain spread throughout her entire body. Will released his tension as he saw her in pain. He never meant to hurt her either. He wanted to comfort her but he was still angry with Jack. Pulling the chair upright and gently taking his seat, he reached for her hand.

"My heart belongs to you and only you." She whispered as she emphasized 'you'. Will studied her expression, he knew she meant it.
