Poems inspired by Twilight…

Wonderer

Tear back the flesh and let me wonder among this earth for eternity.

Take back your lies and broken promises, let me grieve in silence.

Back to a life of loneliness with no meaning, nor soul.

Frustrated at the thought of once being happy, you've inflicted your pain,

You have won, so just go.

Leave me to mend the spirit you broke, so many lives you have taken,

Do you care?

Death comes swiftly to you and yours, no remorse.

Your shallow grave haunted, you roam this wasteland, but not as I do.

My lips twitch into an uneven grin as your fate runs steadily through my mind.

What was once shattered is now mended by hate.

You are Damned.

And so am I.

Do It Edward

Sink your weapons into my flesh,

let the warmth burn fire into your veins to calm your dead heart,

quench the never ending thirst you lust after,

but do not dare to take.

Kill me as a gift,

A token of our love.

Let the savage beast within you take over,

Just this once.

I give you my permission,

I plead to you with my wild beating heart,

Kill me to save me.

Tragedy

Her true face is not pure, is not innocent.

There is a darkness hidden within her she tries to replace.

Others see a virtuous fate for this girl they think they know.

But she can feel her mask slowly sliding, replaced my black veins of hate.

She once knew herself, where she stood and her beliefs,

Now covered in webs of anger.

Human no more, but left a demon to wonder,

In helplessness, silence, and fear.

A Future That Will Never Be

A bloody dream of happiness,

A bloody dream of sorrow,

A bloody dream of despair,

A bloody dream of tomorrow,

A bloody dream haunts me in my sleep,

A bloody dream launches me into the deep,

Into the cold, into my future that has since grown old,

Into my belonging, into my past, into the life that I will never have.

Let Me Go

Unravel my tortured soul

and for a moment

let my wings feel air beneath them

for then I will surly soar away from

the ones who deceived me.
