Zia's POV.
I was sitting in the library when carter came in. it was late in the night. The library was deserted. I heard a small knock on the door. And carter came in. we had been dating for 5 years but till now, whenever I saw him it felt like a breath of fresh air. He came up to me and said
"I have a surprise for you."
"Surprise, this late into the night?" I asked him. But even though I said that I was anxious to know what it was as all of his surprises were great. Like the time he took me to the terrace and kissed me under the stars…..oops, I am blabbering now; well I focused my attention to him.
"Come on, you will like it." And without waiting for an answer he dragged me to the terrace. He opened a portal and whispered some commands to it as to where we had to go. And then he took me into the portal.
When I arrived on the other side it was from a height. But thankfully carter caught me bridal style.
"Close your eyes." He said and did.
He carried me someplace and set me down standing. He kissed my eyes and told me to open them. When I did I saw that we were standing in a clearing in a forest. One side of it opened into a cliff. So we had a clear view of the moon. In the ground there was a picnic blanket spread on which was two glasses and a bottle of champagne I looked at the moon. And turned to look at carter. He took a deep breath and knelt down. He took a small box from his pocket and opened it. Inside was a beautiful ring with a ruby in the center in which the moon light was caught and it shined as if it was aflame.
"Zia Alexandra Rashid, I have loved you from the very moment I set my eyes upon you. I love you more than anything in the world, why the universe itself. Will you let me love you, as a husband till the end of time?" as he said these words my right hand went up to my mouth. I started crying. But the tears which came were tears of love, happiness.
"YES, yes, yes, yes and a thousand yeses carter. I love you." I said and extended my left hand. He slipped the ring on my finger. He got up and kissed me. At that moment I was the happiest person in the universe. Before our lips met I thought
Zia Kane….hmmmmm… it has a nice ring to it.
And we kissed.
