Disclaimer: Sorry y'all, but I don't own the Outsiders, S. E. Hinton does, so take it up with her! Enjoy!

Madison "Maddi" Thorne, more commonly known as Rave, originally from New York, and resident queen of "Greaser" cool in Tulsa, Oklahoma, lay on the beach. The cool, crisp sand glimmered with remnants of forgotten shells and the crystal waters of the ocean brought new light to her eyes. It was her last day here, and believe it or not, she was ready to go home. She gave a small laugh.

Home…that word meant so much to her now. Her real home was in Tulsa, with the Curtis'…with Dally…not here in Hollywood with her aunt, or with her single father and his whores in Brooklyn. Her mother had died of severe blood loss in the brain when she was little (A/N: Is that possible?). Rave knew only that her mom looked like her, and spoke like her, with an accent from all over the world: Mexico (her grandfather), California (her mom, grandmother, and aunt), and Brooklyn (her father). But she realized that no matter what, her home was in Tulsa, not anywhere else. She couldn't wait for tomorrow…

"Dally, I'm coming home," she thought, more to reassure herself than convey a message to her boyfriend Dallas Winston, tough hood and (who knew!) romantic knight in shining armor! God, she missed the gang, the smell of the Curtis house, the chocolate cake the Darry always seemed to make just right. "I'm coming home…"

The Next Day…

Erika's apartment, furnished with the feel of the 60s, complete with lava lamps, beaded curtains, and the artwork that she made. (A/N: I don't know if this stuff is the right era, so sorry if its not!)

Maddi was packed and ready to get the hell outta this city when her aunt Erika came in the door carrying a box.

"Madison, honey, I know you're ready to leave, so I thought I'd give you this before you take off," Erika said, presenting her niece with a black satin box. It turns out the box contained a beautiful gold charm bracelet.

"It was your mother's. She wanted you to have it should you ever come visit me when you were old enough to understand. The charms represent her life in Mexico, California, and New York and her life with you. The rest is for you to fill in yourself, about your past, present, and perhaps even future. Now then, I'll miss you, and I love you, so have a safe trip! Oh, and tell that Dallas Winston of yours hi for me!" she said, winking.

"Kay, Aunt Erika! I'll miss you too! I love you…and…thanks." Maddi responded.

A few hours later, Maddi was unlocking the door to the Curtis' home (A/N: I know that in the book, their door's always unlocked, but this made more sense!). She breathed in deeply and sat on the couch, smiling as she heard Sodapop and Two-Bit enter.

"Welcome home Rave!" they cheered, running upstairs…Rave figured why, but said nothing, glad to finally be home…
