CHAPTER ONE: NOT KNOWING
Matthew was in his library, pouring over some old text book. At first, I didn't think he noticed I was there. Til he eventually said, "Are you just going to stand there all day or am I going to have to come and get you."
"Maybe." Straight up answer. I was tired of Matthew's games. He turned slowly in his chair, a predatory smile on his face.
"I'll give you a headstart."
I gulped, unsure of his motive. Matthew almost never played around, her was sincere guy. I left, taking a jog downstairs towards the kitchen. We were at Septowers, and Ysabeau had left to find her friend, Rosetta. Matthew and I were alone in the house. I hit in the pantry, putting a hand over my mouth to add to my silence.
Seconds later, the door swung open and I shrieked. Matthew's eyes were glistening with love. he slipped in the pantry and closed the doors. Not having his night vision, I couldn't see well. I wasn't sure if he was behind me or in front of me. Or under me.
His hand went to my waist, tugging to to his chest. He kissed me deeply and lovingly, stroking my hair with his thumb. His hand slipped into my jeans pocket, feeling tenderly. I let out a shaky moan as Matthew picked me up bridal style, carrying me out of the pantry. He sped up the stairs, into his bedroom. He set me down on the bed, the look in his eyes so feirce.
"I love you, Diana." He said simply. Then he kissed me again. I tugged at his hips. He got the messgage and roled over so I was on top. I kissed him.
"I love you, Matthew." My eyes felt sleepy and I felt drowsiness wash over me. "Matthew..." I gasped. That was all I could do until everything went black and the world got cold.
