Something I wrote a while back, then I realized how awesome the idea is. The first chapter is short, but the further you read on, the longer the chapters are. Please, read and review, even with my own opinion, I still can't decide whether or not to continue this. Thanks! ~RGW
Chapter One: In linking, the sapient dream
America rushed home, holding a blue case in his hands. "Thanks, Japan!" he hollered over his back, but couldn't hear the man's response over the wind in his ears. He was eager to play this game, whatever it was called; he only saw what looked like yellow cats on the cover. He even had the console for it, so he could start playing the game quickly when he got home, without calling Germany (who was the only one nice enough to fix his laptop or install something for him) to install an emulator for him.
It was a day after America's birthday. Japan had felt shameful that he couldn't attend the birthday bash (it was Spiderman themed), so he bought a game from his boss. He thought America would like it, for some reason, but as he walked back into the house he wondered if it was true.
The game was LSD: Dream Emulator. The game was made by a man who had these crazy dreams, and made them into a game, but only one had been sold in stores, and the others were all downloaded online as .iso files. The LSD Dream Emulator .iso files that work are hard to find. Each time a player played was different from another player, so was quite the extraordinary adventure. America had heard that it was a good game from a Yahoo group online, after looking it up on the internet for a while, just to make sure Japan hadn't given him a game like F.E.A.R like he did on "accident" the last time. He had to call Britain to give him a hug afterwards. His brother couldn't deal with it, and called a therapist. America was told that Japan had gotten a scolding to, but he doubted it. Nobody scolds Japan, not even Japan.
America went into a pantry, got an unopened bag of lightly salted Lays potato chips (he preferred Pringles, but Canada had told him to go on a diet), and walked into his room where his PlayStation 1 was.
He set down in front of the console and looked at the blue case again. Interesting, he thought. LSD was spelled in black letters inside a yellow oval in the center of the case. Three white circles surrounded it, with that looked like robotic cats inside. The back was absolute nonsense from Wonderland.
America shook his head. Suddenly he didn't feel like playing, but then thought of inviting Britain over, just in case.
"What's up British dude?" America asked over the phone. He pictured the blond with an angry look on his face, glaring at the clock, his bedhead sticking in ways the human mind could not comprehend.
"What are you doing, it's two in the morning over here!" America imagined the Brit grumbling, snarling to his former colony. America added some devil horns and sharp teeth in his mental image and tried not to laugh.
"It's seven in the morning here, I guess I forgot our time zones, dude. But listen to this, bro! Japan's got this me this cool game, and I want you to watch me play it!"
Silence, then "What kind of request is that?" from Britain's end.
America only smiled. "A good request, see ya around man!" and hung up.
