It was Christmas time, and Annabeth and Percy were snuggled up on the couch. Annabeth with one of Percys' sweatshirts hanging off her and her hair in a messy bun, snuggled closer to Percy, breathing in his sent, as they watched the Grinch. Sally and Paul were gone at a Christmas Eve party, so the young couple on the couch was happy to have the apartment all to them selves.
When the movie was done Annabeth excused her self to the bathroom. Brushing her teeth and redoing her hair she then walked out.
There he was waiting for her on the small sofa. His hair was an absolute mess, like always, and it made Annabeth blush at how cute he looked spread out on the couch, not really paying attention to what was on the television screen, staring off in to space. Percy's gray sweats lay just right on his hips. And the little slice of skin showing above his waist, made him look sweet and relaxed. He didn't realize that she was near him, until she stood in front of him- and with out warning- jumped right on his stomach. Annabeth being the sweet girlfriend she is, started laughing at the moan of pain that escaped Percy's lips. When Percy was done being the crybaby that he was, he scooped Annabeth up and carried her to the kitchen, complaining on the way about how hungry he was.
"Percy! Shut up, I get it your hungry!" Annabeth yelled, jumping on the kitchen counter.
"Fine…" pouting he goes to the cupboard, " so lass what shall we be eating today?" he asks a horrible British accent.
"I don't know…why don't you make me a sandwich." She told him in the sweetest voice she could muster.
"Can we open presents?" Percy asked excitedly, from across the kitchen sitting on the other counter top.
"Mmh k. You go first." Annabeth said smirking, when Percy hopped down and stood between her legs.
At that Percy took a step back and shyly scratched behind his neck. " Well…you see…Annabeth I-I haven't really gotten you anything. Well at least not yet."
Annabeth sat on the counter thinking. She wasn't about to tell Percy off for not getting her a present, even though it was his idea. Sitting there a little longer, Annabeth finally saw what she was looking for.
There under the Christmas tree was a box of wrapping paper and ribbons. Annabeth quickly hopped off the counter top. Turning to Percy she told him to sit and stay there. Percy laughed doing as told and watched as Annabeth ran off to the living room.
Stealthily Annabeth grabbed two ribbons. Hiding them behind her back she skipped back over to Percy and stood in between his legs this time.
"Its okay that you didn't get me anything. You can be my present!" she laughed, placing a big red bow on top of his unruly black hair. " And I'll be yours…" she then placed an equal in size, silver bow on her head.
"But…I-I thought…What!"
"It's a good thing you're a cute one, Seaweed Brain." She kissed him, and then walked away, bow still on her head, to lying down on the couch once again.
Percy after getting out of a daze, jogged over to the couch and crashed on top of Annabeth, giving her a sweet Christmas kiss. Laying between her and the back of the couch her wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close.
"Merry Christmas Wise Girl."
"Merry Christmas." Annabeth whispered drifting off.
And just before she was about to fall asleep, her boyfriend jerked her awake. Percy lay on his elbow, looking down at her " Does this mean your not getting me a present?" he asked stunned. Annabeth just rolled her eyes and laughed. And he wonders why he's a Seaweed Brain.
