Annabelle cradled her domed belly, groaning slightly. It was coming, and nobody was there to help her. She tried to grab her mobile, but failed the first 3 times, but she managed to grab it on the fourth time.
'This is the Vodaphone voicemail for 0785 525 6090. Piers Pompfrey is currently not available. Please call again or leave a message after the beep.
She sighed in frustration, before dialling a different number.
'Fritton. Wha'd'ya want?' Kelly Jones's voice boomed out of the mobile.
'Kelly.' She groaned.
'Annabelle.' She said worriedly. 'What's wrong?'
'I think that the baby is on its way.' She gritted her teeth.
'I'm on the way Annabelle.' Kelly said. 'Hold on, don't worry.'
Ten minutes later, Kelly arrived, calling out 'Annabelle! Where are you?'
'In here.' She called back. 'Oh, God! Kelly, it's so painful!'
Kelly ran through the rooms heading towards where Annabelle was.
Kelly fell to her knees next to Annabelle, 'Is there anything you need?'
'Piers.' Annabelle whispered through the pain.
'We can't get him, Annabelle. He's doing a conference.' Kelly told her worriedly.
'We can't even get him here for the birth of his first child!' Annabelle yelled as the pain spiked when she stood up.
Kelly grabbed her as she swayed. 'We need to get you to a hospital.'
Annabelle nodded.

Annabelle had finally made it to fully dilated, and she was pushing with all her might.
'One more push, Annabelle, and she'll be here with you.' The doctor said encouragingly.
She pushed and felt a whoosh as the baby left her body. She flopped back onto the bed as the adrenaline left her system.
'And here's you beautiful baby girl.' The nurse said as she handed her to Annabelle.
'Kelly, look.' She whispered happily, 'Isn't she wonderful?'
'Yes, she is Annabelle.' Kelly smiled.
Annabelle yawned and passed the baby to Kelly, whispering something about sleep.

Piers Pompfrey stared over his wife, and his baby daughter.
They were both peaceful at the moment, the baby wasn't crying and Annabelle was asleep.
He smiled slightly thinking about the following months.
