Its time we go to Ba Sing Se. The fire nation will bring the fight there and we have to be ready. Ba Sing Se needs a true leader, not someone hiding behind a lie in the hopes of securing power for themselves. These are dark times. Jasmine needs to be able to take control of the court if we stand the chance of staving off a full scale invasion from the fire nation. The longer we wait, the greater the peril we will be in.
Kyona:
I couldn't agree more, your grace. However, it would be wiser if you let someone else take your place. The world cannot afford to lose their avatar.
Kara:
I am pronounced dead. There is nothing to fear. No one except the lotus knows that I survived that dreadful day. They think my family is extinct. Keeping away from Ba Sing Se will not ease the burden that Jasmine has to the Earth Kingdom.
Kyona:
Her Majesty, Queen Jasmine of Ba Sing Se is feisty and hardened from the toils that has plagued the order since the day you have been proclaimed slaughtered, the day of black tides. She will serve Ba Sing Se well.
Kara:
She has an obligation to ensure that the city doesn't fall into enemy hands. I have a responsibility to ensure the Earth Kingdom has its rightful ruler at its helm.
Kyona:
Very well then. Disguise yourself as soldiers; joining the elite task force set up by the young Prince. Be mindful of your surroundings. One wrong step and we might not be as lucky as the last time.
Kara:
I will disguise myself as a fire nation refugee. Jasmine and Bei Fong and Earth Bender. Mo a water bender. We can join the grand army of Ba Sing Se and we can fight off the fire nation. We would be in the perfect location for information.
Kyona:
I suggest you hide your true identity. The illegitimate King would not welcome you as he craves the throne for himself. Jasmine may be King Hondura's legitimate heir but that matters little to him. He would do anything to secure power for themselves.
Kara:
Don't worry, I have no intention of letting anyone know I am the avatar. Let us go brief Mo, Shalini and Jasmine before we leave the mists of Avalon for Ba Sing Se.
The two leave the balcony overlooking the sea and make their way into the interior of the colossal stone structure standing in the midst of mist. They enter the study and they begin to pull out scrolls mapping out the inner workings of the Earth Kingdon.
Kyona:
Girls, these were obtained by our spies in the Earth Kingdom.
The reigning king, His Majesty King Jardine (not the rightfull king) is on the throne. He has a son, Crown Prince Aaron and a daughter, Princess Mayo of the Southern Lands. Princess Mayo is bethroved to one Cayon Augustus, noblemen and loving partner. He is also the Assistant Company Leader, Earth Contingent of the Elite task force.
Kara: Our mission is to infiltrate the royal family and see to it that the city does not fall without letting them know of the Order of the White Lotus' involvement in Ba Sing Se. If they discover our true intentions we could meet with failure, or even worse fates.
Jasmine: Then let us set out to succeed.
The four look at each other in agreement. In their eyes, you could see that the gravity of their situation gave rise a great emotional tide. A great hope arose in Kyona. It has been long since he had felt hopeful. In fact, he hadn't felt this way since the days of his father, Avatar Aang.
