"Elisabetta, are you ready?" Felix called from downstairs. "Do I have to go?" A high voice called from upstairs. "Yes it's very

important." Felix called back. He heard shuffling and then a petite girl with light brown hair and brown eyes came

downstairs. "Where are we going?" Elisabetta asked, getting her coat. Felix was quiet for a second. "You'll see." He said.

She put her coat on and then they both got in the car and Felix started driving, not speaking at all. "Dad are you okay?"

Elisabetta asked. Felix took a deep breath. "Honestly? No. Well not yet. I just have to show you this. You're 12 years old

now, you deserve to know." He said. "Know what?" Elisabetta inquired. Felix kept silent. "Dad," She said again. Felix

remained quiet. Elisabetta gave up and they drove in silence. "Is this about Mom?" She asked quietly looking at Felix.

Felix's breath caught in his chest. "Yeah." He said quietly. She slightly nodded and touched the locket which had her

mothers picture in it. Then they were quiet for the rest of the ride. Felix finally pulled up to a lot and stopped. It was a

graveyard. "Dad?" Elisabetta asked. Felix turned the car off. "Come with me." He said quietly. They got out of the car. Felix

held his hand out for Elisabetta and she took it, unaware of where to go. He led her up a hill, past many gravestones.

Finally he stopped and looked at a gravestone. "Dad, where are-" she began but trailed off. "Marzia Bisognin-" Elisabetta

began and gasped. She looked at Felix. "Mom was buried here?" She asked. Felix nodded. "I felt like you were at the age

where you could understand your surroundings. You could understand what happened." He said. Elisabetta looked at him

with wide eyes. "What exactly happened to Mom?" She asked. "Uncle Cry and Uncle Ken said she got sick." She said. "That

is not wrong nor right," Felix said. He looked at her. "When she was pregnant with you, there was a problem," he began.

Elisabetta continued looking at him. "Some rare and strange disease. The doctors said she had to abort you or else she

would die," He said. Elisabetta quietly gasped. "She chose to keep you and after you were born, she died." He finished.

Elisabetta looked at the gravestone. "So it's all my fault?" She asked. "No it's not," Felix said. "What I'm trying to say is,

she loved you. So much. From the day she found out she was pregnant. When she died, everything she was was put into

you. You are exactly like her in every way. You are the one that keeps me going Elisabetta. Not the anti-depressants, not

the therapists, you." He said. She turned towards him. "Daddy." She said softly and hugged him. He hugged back. "I

thought I was going to lose both of you that day." He said softly. Elisabetta hugged tighter. They pulled apart, looked at the

grave for a little while longer and then left. And as they were leaving, they swore they heard a kind, sweet, high pitched

laugh from the hill.
