The Execution
-An original Chrono Trigger fic by RJ.
Disclaimer- I do not own Chrono Trigger, or anything within the game. I'm only a guy with a fic.
A Side Note- I will add chapters when I get reviewed, because I figure it's pointless writing for people who don't read my work. So when I get 5 to 10 reviews, I'll add chapters. So please, do review. Now...on with the story.
Chapter 1- The Proposition
It was the year 2009. Nine years after the fall of Lavos, and the end of the chaos that shrouded the world. Peace had settled in the people's hearts once again. This was all thanks to a young boy, now a man, named Crono. Facing the impossible, Crono traveled time, slaying all evils that crossed his path. In Medina Square, stood a statue of the legendary hero himself. A bridge had been built between Guardia and Medina, and Time Travel had been available to everyone after the defeat of Lavos.
Crono had long since hung up his sword. He now lived with his best friend Lucca, in her cozy little seaside home, working as a demonstrator for Lucca's inventions in Leene Square, to support Lucca and her aging father, Taban.
It was a warm, mid-summer morning, and Crono was on his way to Leene Square to get Lucca's latest invention set up, a machine that could transform plastic into glass, and glass into plastic, when he was stopped by two Castle guards.
"Are you Crono?", one of the guards asked demandingly. Crono nodded, "Yes, but-..", He was cut off by the guard's quick response. "Come with us. The King wishes to speak with you." Crono was surprised that the King would want something from him, but followed the guards to Guardia Castle.
Guardia Castle
"Please, speak with the King." The two guards stepped aside, and motioned Crono to the large doors that led to the King's chamber. Crono inhaled deeply, and passed through the doors to find the King standing at the foot of the steps, waiting for him.
"Ah.Crono." The King stared Crono down. He spoke sharply, and swiftly. "Crono.I know you've finally gotten your life straightened out...but.I have a proposition to make.", he hesitated a bit, before continuing. ".What do you say Crono.one last mission?"
Crono stared down at his feet, pondering what would happen if he said yes.what would Lucca do? Who would take care of his mother? .Glenn would work for Lucca while he was gone.surely a good friend such as him would do him this favor.and Marle.of course.Marle could look after his mother.and Crono couldn't resist the thrill of an adventure.it's been so long..
"What exactly will I be doing?" Crono looked up at the King and grinned.
In The Next Chapter: Crono will soon learn about his past, and face a task far more difficult than any other.read on.
