A/N: Loss of creativity here, I know. My first attempt at angst, (there's probably even a lack of emotion here) but it's only really to help my creativity flow a little more. This writer's block is really getting annoying. Anywho, enough of my ranting. I hope you like the story regardless! ^^
Reviews are gladly appreciated, even if they are a help to how I can improve!
Disclaimer: I, sadly do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn! or you.
3am it read.
With an aggravated sigh, he roughly tossed the phone to the other side of the bed, hearing a loud thud as it made contact with the ruffled sheets; a result of his as of late sleepless nights.
He didn't know what to do.
Ever since you had left, he had been rendered helpless.
A train of thoughts mercilessly ran its course through his mind as he thought of you. How much he had missed you. Your beautiful (e/c) orbs which had entranced him and your little cute smile which seemed to lighten any day now haunted him each time he closed his eyes, the image imprinting itself in the darkness of his eyelids.
Rolling over to the other side, he reached over to only find that it was empty. The bed you once shared was the same, however without your presence, felt a whole lot bigger to the bomber. Empty, devoid, like his heart.
"Yn…" he muttered under his breath as he made attempts to suppress further thoughts of you rushing through his mind, but to no avail.
Would you ever forgive his stupid self and ever come back?
But he probably deserved it, he thought.
It was like a vivid dream, that day, where you could take it no longer. As the silverette wholeheartedly devoted his life serving under his precious boss, he had left you behind, all alone. Though he had been well aware of his actions and the hurt it may have caused you, he brushed them aside not wanting to let down his Jyuudaime. He thought he could fix it later, that you wouldn't mind and forgive him each time. However time after time, he continued to put his right hand duties ahead of you, until it was all too late. The anger and hurt in your eyes, empty of the once warm and loving glow. Tears brimmed at your eyes, threatening to fall with each and every word that came out of your mouth that caused his whole world to collapse.
I'm sorry, Hayato. If you're going to continue to put Tsuna ahead of me, maybe I shouldn't be here after all.
And with those words you had left, right out of his life. Your disappearing figure in his mind; he unconsciously reached out into the air as he wished he could have stopped you. But he didn't know what to say, what to do, to make you stay.
I love you. Please, don't leave me. I need you.
One hand clenched at his chest as his heart ached at these thoughts and longed for you. The other arm rested upon his face, covering his eyes as he laid in the darkness of the room, alone. No, he cannot, and would not cry.
It was a nightmare. Of course, it had to be. Right now he could wake up to your smaller form cuddled up against him like you had never left. Your love would still be there. But no matter how much he had convinced himself, it wasn't a dream. At all.
