Summary – What if all that was needed to reverse Nikola's de-vamper was blood. But not his. Helen's. After all, it worked for Druitt.
Nkola Tesla was sitting on his bed, given to him by Helen, reminiscing about when he was a vampire and when he was a teenager.
A knock on his door startled him and he slowly answered it, to find Helen standing there. She looked tired. Very tired, as though she hadn't slept in a while.
'Nikola!' she yawned. 'I found it.'
'You found what?' Nikola asked.
'The answer to your vampirism.' She smiled.
'How?' Nikola excitedly asked
'Well, it was the source blood that gave it to you wasn't it?' She didn't wait for him to nod before continuing her sentence. 'Well, there was five of us that injected it. There was you, vampirism, Nigel, invisibility, John, teleportation, James, intelligence and me, immortality. We have me. My blood. The source blood will still be in it.'
He hugged her, exhilaration making him slightly hyper.
'So, the way to get the vampirism back, I need to get your blood?' Nikola asked.
She nodded. 'Don't get all Victorian on me, Nikola. The Five have used my blood a lot. Mainly John. It kept his madness in check.'
'Come on then.' He said grinning maniacally. 'To the lab.'
She grinned and got ready for a long transformation.
THREE DAYS LATER
Helen was so tired that she couldn't sit up straight, but she was determined to stay away until Nikola completed the change.
He opened his eyes and turned his head t look at her.
He held up his hand, showing her his newly grown vampire nails. 'It's back Helen, I can feel it all.'
She smiled happily for him. 'I'm happy for you Nikola.' She said tiredly, yawning.
He sat up from the bed. He picked her up despite her protests, and walked to her bedroom. He laid her down on her bed, and she was asleep before he had even put the quilt over her.
He smiled, vampire teeth poking over his teeth. He laid down on her couch and drifted off to sleep.
