"We have to stop this." Kaito said "We're employees for Mr. Heartland."
"Yeah, well, I quit the job yesterday. We exchanged some harsh words after I found out that he tried to help abuse your and Haruto." Droite said "So we're not stopping this anytime soon." she added, before she resumed hugging him. "I loved you from the moment I met you. I tired to push it away, but I could not"
Watching them from the shadows, however, was another man, their partner, to be exact. He gritted his teeth as his eyes fell upon Droite and Kaito hugging each other. He looked at his deck. His deck name, Heroic, suited him well. He always thought of himself as a hero who protected Droite and looked after her. And...he loved her. But now it was all for naught, as Kaito had her now.
But that didn't mean he would give up that easily. Mustering his courage, he walked up to Kaito and Droite, smiling.
"So, how are you two doing?" Gauche asked, smiling, and doing his best to conceal his jealousy.
"Not too good. My father is using my brother for his own twisted scheme.
"Well..." Gauche said "Let's make it a deal. I rescue Haruto for you. In exchange, you have to break up with Droite.
Both Kaito and Droite looked at him, bewildered.
Gauche was outside Dr. Faker's chief operative zone. A butterfly flew in front of him and Gauche catched it gently. He examined the creature. It was so frail and beautiful
"I'm doing this for you and you alone." he whispered, letting the butterfly go. He then took out his deck and looked at the cards. "This would be able to defeat his ace in case he shows up."
With that, Gauche entered the building, taking the elevator to ninth floor silently. Dr. Faker was in room with Haruto.
Too easy.
"Dr. Faker." Gauche bowed "Mr. Heartland wants to see you. Something about Kaito."
"Kaito?" Dr. Faker said, raising an eyebrow
"Well, you see...Kaito turned on us. Mr. Heartland is very worried. I'll look after Haruto for you."
"Fine. I'd better go see what that old man wants." Dr. Faker said, before leaving the room.
"Your brother's waiting for you." Gauche told Haruto as soon as he was sure Dr. Faker was out of sight "I will take you to him."
Little did Gauche know that someone was watching him
"Over my dead boy will you break Kaito and Droite up. I have to make it up to her."
He had done so much wrong to the poor girl and he wished to make it right.
"Number shokan! Heraldic King Genome Heriter!" the mysterious watcher cried, revealing himself as Tron.
The beast materialized in front of Gauche and Haruto, Tron walked up and stood in front of his monster
"You again? What is it you're after now?"
"Ensuring you never keep your end of the bargain." Tron said "You see, not too long ago, before I realized my wrongdoings, I scarred Droite very badly. I want to male it up to her by giving her happiness...happiness she could have with Kaito only. Genome Heriter..." Tron commanded, and the beast unleashed a beam out of it's mouth, aimed at Gauche. Tron pushed Haruto out of the way of attack.
"So, old man, what has Kaito done?" Dr. Faker screamed at Mr. Heartland. Mr. Heartland blinked once, then once more.
"Don't know what you're talking about. I never called you." Mr. Heartland said
Then an explosion was heard.
"Someone summoned a monster outside of battle."
Two men rushed to ninth floor, just to find nothing except a crude picture of butterfly drawn in the dirt and a dropped card. Dr. Faker took the card and recognized Genome Heriter. Gauche and Haruto were nowhere to be found.
"Droite...and Tron?" Dr. Faker asked, puzzled "Queer..."
"Sorry about stopping him, but you two look happy when with each other, and I want to see you that way." Tron said "I owe Droite that much after what I did to her." he added. Then he turned and walked away, never to be seen by Kaito, Haruto and Droite again.
