prologue: the departure

YGGDRASIL the most popular (DMMO-RPG (Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Where players can create any character they wish. YGGDRASIL has the abounded amount of races and classes to choose. It can be a human with the power of elementals or even an orc that has stats that maximize defense and Hp. This level of character customization with the vast world the players can explore made it one of the most successful game in the country. But the golden age of YGGDRASIL has come to a close as today is the day the servers close for good.

Many long-term veterans of the game came to log in on the last day. As they reminisce about the adventures they had in YGGDRASIL. One of these players that log in was named Suzuki Honda. Average salary women that you can find anywhere. Throughout her life she was nothing special, she wasn't cute or ugly, Smart or stupid, talented or incompetent, Just a normal forgettable person.

"so this is it huh" Suzuki sigh and open her status menu to look at her avatar one last time. Her avatar is based on the saber face servants in the fate universes called Mysterious Heroine X. heck the outer appearance of the avatar is almost identical to her. a half-Vampire with a blond ponytail, beautiful green eyes, petite figure with a matching gear of a black cap, black shorts, blue sports jacket with a gold cross symbol on it, a blue muffler that symbolizes courage, and long thin black boots.

"huh, so today is the last I can play as *Heroine *X*" as she sighs and reminisces about the adventures she did in this world. Like when she fought toe to toe and befriend Touch me from the guild Ainz Owl Gown. As both of them have fought for the title of world champion 5 times before he quit playing. This impresses most of the members of the guild that she got an invitation to join them. But she declines as she did not like the mechanic of player killing (PK) that the guild was famous for. She prefers playing the role of an allied of justice like the original in helping people. Like helping noobs starting out and filling out party slots when needed. But this did not stop Heroine X from befriending the guild members Of Ainz Owl Gown mostly with Touch me, Perorochino, Bukubuku Chagama and even the guild leader Momonga. They mostly just hang out and talk about their hobby's, interest and life in general.

But now they are gone most of them quit the game voluntarily except Momonga. Who didn't technically quit but is currently in a coma after working himself to exhaustion. Luckily for him *Heroine *X* promise that she would take care of the guild in his absents. In fact, she was technically the guild master of Ainz owl gown. As she was the only member there for the last 3 months.

Because of this privilege, she made some reversible changes to the headquarters of Ainz owl Gown at her own expense. As any permanent change would be like spitting on the hard work her friends did. But still not doing anything with a huge and once powerful guild like this was just too tempting to Suzuki Honda. That's why she install an extra feature to the guild called Alter mode.

Alter mode is a mode where the content and outer appearance of the guild can change without destroying or replacing anything from the previous model. And it's possible to switch between models every 24 hours. The downside of Alter mode is that every new asset must be made with new material and money. This includes building, NPC, and their equipment any other design that was not part of the default. Also, it's not possible to exchange NPC between models, as some players in the past abuse that ability because of a glitch that somehow made copies of the same NPC and their equipment for free. This glitch was patched but some hackers were able to remove the update to this feature. That lead to this new limitation.

And with this Alter-mode Suzuki Honda went to town and made her own Version of Nazarik, which was a magnificent western style medieval castle, surrounded by a moderate town which had functioning stores, running water, gas, and electricity. that floats on a landmass 10.000 feet above the ground covered by a force field that hides it and protects it from invaders. Inside the force field the sky it is always perpetually dark with artificial stars and two moons one sky blue and the other was blood red

The setting was also different from the original Nazarick which was about that the NPC and members of Ainz owl Gown were an evil force that wishes to control the world and make every Grotace race united under one banner. With there leader Lord Momonga an Overlord was the king and controls every land they conquered from his palace the tomb of Nazarick.

This Alt mode of Ainz owl gown tells a different story. This city in the sky was one of the many provinces that Nazarick control. Which was named Xemelot that the majority of the citizens were vampires and half-vampires or commonly called Dhampir. that was governed by one of the supreme being of Nazarick, Heroine *X*. (that join after every other member quits besides Momonga. As they were both lonely with everybody gone.) because of the position of Xemelot was above the tomb of nazarick. This province had an important duty, that was to protect the airspace above Nazarick. It took Heroine*X* around 145 hours to create this floating fortress and cost her around 1.4 billion in in-game currency.

"Well that was fun" Heroine*X* said while sitting in her beautiful throne room and remembering how hard it was to create her fortress. And that she needed to upkeep two different bases at once. But she didn't mind as she had nothing better to do now as the number of active players keeps getting smaller and smaller. So raids, tournaments and even helping noobs was not possible anymore.

"In the end, you didn't come back huh Momonga. Though some of your guild members did come back to say goodbye to you on this last day."

"*tap*tap*tap*tap*tap*" was the sound of her finger tapping as she awaits the sever to end.

"In the end, every good thing comes to an end huh."

"but it was not bad as I got to meet everybody and have many amazing adventures."

She then decides to close her eyes and waited for the termination of the server.

At this point Suzuki Honda new that the game was shut down as she regains the feeling of the softness of her chair. Which was dulled to remind players that the world of Yggdarils that this world was fake. She didn't open her eyes though as she was already in dreamland. Both tired and disappointed at just how cruel the passage of time was. Though unknowingly her adventures was only getting started.
