Hey guys, this is a little Christmas story that I hope you all enjoy. C. has the rights
It was Christmas day and the spirit in Cair Paravel was in overdrive,Susan and the servants had decorated every nook and cranny of the castle and the most extravagant party had been planned. Everyone was up and spirits were high until it became apparent that Lucy was not yet awake. Edmund being older than Lucy thought It was his duty as big brother to go wake Lucy up. He crept along the corridor and saw Lucy's door at the end. Lucy had large blue letters spelling out her name across the door in the shape of a rainbow. Edmund knocked and opened Lucy's door . He looked across at her bed to see a small shape lumping the mattresses. 'Lucy' he laughed walking over and sitting on her bed 'Come on Lu' 'It's almost nine o'clock'. Lucy's eyes shot open. She jumped out of bed and grabbed her dressing gown. As she ran out of the room laughing,Edmund got up and laughed he sighed and thought of his parents. He pushed them to the back of his mind and chased a screaming Lucy down the corridor. They burst into the great hall. To meet a very cross Susan. The both stopped and looked at their feet. 'I don't want to have to shout at you two,it's Christmas!' Susan said. 'Erm,Su you are' Replied Edmund as Lucy giggled. Susan frowned and said 'Come on'. The children went across to the small tree that sat in the corner. Susan and Edmund looked at each other and sighed, remembering home. They looked to Lucy who was skipping around the great hall, singing Christmas carols and squealing excitedly. Peter entered the hall and ran over scooping Lucy up into his arms. He walked over to Susan and Edmund and saw their faces. 'What's wrong he asked?' Susan and Edmund just looked at him. 'Oh' he said 'I never thought' 'Yes' said Susan 'You never thought'. Lucy sensed the tension and slid out Peter's Arms. She plonked down on the floor and looked at her parcels sitting on the floor. She started to rip open the paper and 10 minutes later,Lucy had a new dagger, replacement Cordial and several new dresses. Edmund went next and shelled his presents in no time. A sword, shield and new tunic. Edmund was happy with the results. Next went Susan who opened her parcels slowly much to her siblings annoyance. Susan had many new dresses and new feathered bows for her arrows, she smiled and looked to Peter. Peter opened his only to find a sword he smiled and nodded. There was one final present left which was addressed to all the children. Susan picked it up and looked to her siblings who nodded for her to go ahead and open it. She slid of the bottle green ribbon and lifted the lid, pushing back the tissue paper she found a photo frame,of her and he siblings and mother and father. She gasped and handed it to Peter who looked at the frame. He flipped it around and opened the small door to reveal the white of the photo, written in the messy scrawl that could be recognized as his father's handwriting 'Merry Christmas Children,we love you all and we hope you come home soon.' He read it out to his siblings who smiled and started to cry. The Pevesnies grouped together and shared a hug. They looked out of the window to see small white flakes falling from the skies. 'Merry Christmas' Peter said.
