It was a dark night when Lord Narcisse came back to the French court. He was deeply sad about the death of his beloved wife, Lola. In this way he decided to go to his chamber and take a rest. He wanted to thinking about his life. He lost almost everything that was important to him and he had to take care of little John.

As he was walking on the corridor he saw Catherine's chamber. He stopped for a while and looked at the door. The door which he went in so many times before. He thought Catherine was in but he wasn't brave enough to visit her. He knew she hated Lola and the relationship between them. In this way he continued his walking.

Finally he reached his chamber. He prepared himself for a warm bath. He sat down in the bathtub and closed his eyes.

-"Miss me?"

A quiet voice of a woman was hitting his ear. Catherine. He hasn't notice that she was following him through the corridor.

-"Catherine... What are you doing here? I thought nobody knows about my arrival."

-"Exactly. But next time you should be more careful..."

She was smiling at him and went closer. He knew she saw him standing in front of her chamber.

-"Well, I am not interested in your games right now, Catherine. I would like to be alone. I had a tiring day and..."

-"Ahh, of course you did." She hasn't even waited for the end of his sentence.

-"And tell me, how is your wife, Lola? I am sure she was glad when she left the English court."

He looked at her with tears in his eyes and said: "She would."

-"Stephan... What happened?"

-"There was a plan... To kill Elizabeth. Lola took a part in it and..."

-"And?"

-"She is dead now..."

Catherine was a bit shocked but she tried to hide it from him. She went closer to him and put her hand on his face. It was a polite gesture from her.

-"I am so sorry Stephan. I haven't know about it. If you need anything, I am here."

-"In fact..." -he started "I have to tell you something Catherine..."

She was listening to him carefully.

-"I am glad to see you again."

As soon as he finished his sentence she wanted to keep the distance between them but she couldn't. He touched her face and started to pulling her closer. Her heart was beating so hard but she felt she cannot make it.

-"Stephan, please... Not now."

She stood up and went to the door. Narcisse was surprised. He thought she wants something tonight.

-"Catherine, forgive me. I..."

-"I know."

She opened the door and looked back to him above her shoulder.

-"Enjoy your bath, Lord chancellor."
