A/N- This takes place the day after Ephram decides he's not moving. Amy's still at Ephram's house, because she was watching Delia while Dr. Brown was at the hospital. Then Delia went with Edna to see Bright, so Amy stayed, waiting for Delia.
"Amy?" Ephram walked out onto the front porch where Amy was sitting on the swing, wrapped in a quilt. She was staring at the gently still falling snow. "Worried about Bright?"
"A little. But that's not why I'm out here. Edna called me on my cell phone a while ago and told me he was fine. She said that him and Delia are getting along really well and that she's making him smile." She smiled at him. "Sit down."
He sat down next to her, smiling back. "So why are you out here in the cold?"
"Thinking. Mostly about what has happened recently." She drew her knees up under her chin and wrapped the quilt around her sock-covered feet.
"Is that good?" He stared at the house across the street, nervous for her reaction.
"What, the thinking or the events? If you're talking about the events, they are good and bad." Amy turned to face him. "When I heard you were moving, I was mad and sad and upset. I wasn't sure if it was because of me or what. I just thought you would leave me here. You have been my best friend since I got to know you. I've told you more than I've told anyone else. I felt instantly guilty for treating you like crap. Then when I heard you were going to stay here in Everwood, I was so happy. And Ephram, I want to apologize for treating you like crap."
"It's okay, you were upset about Colin, I understand." Ephram looked at her and was surprised when she looked straight into his eyes.
"But it's not okay. I have to confess, I treated you like crap because I wanted me to hate you. You were taking my time away from Colin and I felt guilty. But, Ephram,…………..
