A Sponge In Time
On a hot, Indian morning, Natsu sat in his bathroom. It was Valentine's Day and he was all alone. His stomach ached in sorrow for the secret love that he could never share. How could he expect Gray to love someone with prickly fur?
Sweetly, he began to recite a poem he had composed. "Ah, my love is like a juicy long sloth, all on a summer's day. I wish my Gray would sit me, in his own salty way…"
"Do you?" Gray sat down beside Natsu and put his hand on Natsu's tail. "I think that could be arranged."
Natsu gasped stickily. "But what about my prickly fur?"
"I like it," Gray said in a hushed voice. "I think it's nice."
They came together and their kiss was like a happy Squidward.
"I love you," Natsu said delightfully.
"I love you too," Gray replied and stroked his hair.
They bought a squirrel, moved in together, and lived happily ever after.
