A 100-word drabble for my darling Stormy - good luck tomorrow! You'll be fine!
It's easy, Ming-Ming thought, to cheer for someone when "Good luck!" was gladly received. But it took character – she executed a wriggle of glee – to keep cheering when the person you were cheering for was the socially inept Kai Hiwatari. The stupid boy hid from praise as though it could hurt him. So, Ming-Ming took it upon herself to make him 'toughen up!' with a persistence that rivaled Kai's own.
"Shut up," he snarled one day, slamming her against the wall and crushing his mouth to hers with a force that hurt her.
Ming-Ming licked her bruised lips and smiled.
Hm. Not sure if I like it or not. Almost. Anyway, have to go to school now. Damn.
