Jack is stranded without his pearl and he really is nothing without the pearl. I'm sure the pearl is the only thing he would marry if he could that is. So, when he is without her he doesn't know what to do and won't stop till he has her. At least he has his crabs, the damn crabs he can't get away from them. At least he has realised that they aren't rocks. Thanks to Tia Dalma he would be followed by the cursed rocks. Perhaps he'd be stalked till the day he dies so he believed forever. Back when he was in Davy Jones locker serving his punishment, his 'pet' crabs helped save the pearl and delivered it to the sea, back where she and he belonged. He was in a better position then, than he is now. This time the crabs are following him but they aren't bringing his beloved pearl to him. So, feeling stalked he set about getting off the island he got to after his little 'dingy' fell apart. To be fair it had a sail and a flag. Once again all the rum had gone, no rum, no pearl, no girls life just wasn't worth living.
He wasn't going to get his beloved ship back this time, Barbossa has the pearl and he is nowhere to be found. The pearl was too far ahead when he realised that Gibbs had let it go. Blasted Gibbs ever a sleeping drunk but Jack loved him anyway. He was the only one that had stuck with him since he was mutinied on that island. Jack liked his company as much as he hated to admit it. Barbossa, his old first mate had betrayed him again. Hector, now his enemy once again had left with the pearl whilst Jack was up to no good trying to find some girls. Luckily, Jack had the map for the fountain of youth. He and his crabs set about finding the pearl and getting off the island. The lack of Rum was down to Jack having drunk it all. Hence his deliration, I mean who talks to crabs unless they are drunk. Well, Jack having no rope couldn't do as he claimed to have done last time he was marooned on an island, tying turtles together isn't an option. Jack doesn't normally let anything stop him but this time he really was in a pickle.
Jack was so confused, talking to himself and his crabs. He found a palm tree and set about turning it into some sort of sea worthy vessel to help him get back to port. To be honest he was quite shocked that Gibbs hadn't tried to find him but he supposed that was a lot to ask of someone he just left at the port. He managed to build some kind of raft to help get him back to main land. However as he was about to leave, the crabs begged him to stay knowing that they couldn't go with him. The other Jacks wanted to go too but Jack put his foot down, 'There is only room for one captain on this ship and that's me Captain Jack Sparrow'. Just then a coconut lands on his head. Dazed and confused Jack wakes up not a crab in sight. Alone, Jack looks about and discovers he is on a ship the crew ignore him and eventually he is greeted. 'Hello Jackie boy' yelled Teague from the wheel of the huge vessel. Jack, confused replies 'Hi dad, erm how did I get here?'
'You floated into us unconscious on a bit of wood.'
'So, where are the crabs?'
'The crabs?'
So it was all a dream or something thought Jack. So, the blasted crabs really were gone and he was free for now at least. 'So where are we headed? '
'To England my son, there's work to be done.'
