Chapter One

JK ROWLING OWNS EVERYTHING!

Hi!

Number 12 Grimmauld place looked completely different from what you might expect. Gone were the cobwebs and dust and the Portrait of Mrs Black and in their place where family photos of small ginger children learning to ride broomsticks and wearing their first Hogwarts robes.

The mantle-piece above the large open fire in the spotless sitting room was reserved for wedding photos. In the middle was a black and white photo of a tall, young looking man and a smaller, not-yet-dumpy looking woman - Mr and Mrs Weasley. Surrounding this photo was a selection of other 'Mr and Mrs Weasley's'; Bill and Fleur, Percy and Audrey, George and Angelina, Ron and Hermione and the Potters – Harry and Ginny.

The fire burning in that particular fireplace suddenly glowed bright green and five people stepped out of the fire, the flames licking at their ankles.

Harry potter still looked the same as he always did, jet black hair, now littered with the odd flash of silver, small round glasses behind which sat emerald green eyes and a small pink scar. Ginny on the other hand had changed dramatically. Gone was the lean and muscular body from her days as a chaser for the Harpies and in its place was a curvy, motherly looking woman.

Their three children followed them into the kitchen, lighting candles as they went. Tall, muscular James towered over the whole family, his arm currently in a sling after a bludger took him by surprise. Albus, who was considerably smaller than James looked like a clone of his 18 year old father right down to the round glasses perched upon his nose which was the only thing he inherited from his mother. The youngest and smallest was Lily. She was smaller than her mother was at sixteen, and smaller than any of her cousins had been, but she didn't mind. Being small just meant that people didn't expect much from you so when you done something everyone was even more impressed, like that time in her third year where she fought with a sixth year Slytherin who made fun of her hair and managed to bring him down without moving from her seat.

Before they had even reached the kitchen door the fire turned green again and another little family stepped through,

''He-ey! Anybody in?'' Shouted Hugo, who looked just like his dad but with his mother's soft brown eyes.

''Aunt Hermione! Uncle Ron!'' Lily came rushing back through to the sitting room and was quickly scooped up into her best friend's arms and spun around.

''Hugo, I swear to god, put me down right now!'' She screamed as Hugo proceeded to flip her over his shoulders and march towards the kitchen with his sister following, laughing gently.

Hugo flung Lily down on the edge of the table just as his parents joined Lily's in the long kitchen.

''Hey mate, merry Christmas'' Said Ron, ''Can you believe it's our last Christmas with kids? Next year they'll all be over seventeen and adults. Mental.''

''Yeah, Merlin...'' Harry ran his fingers through his unruly hair and glanced up at his youngest child and only daughter,

''Don't worry dad! Jeez! I'll be seventeen, not dead." Lily rolled her eyes and jumped down from the table as her uncle Bill walked in with his arm looped around his wife and his two youngest kids following,

''Yeah Harry, stop worrying, how d'ya think I feel? My daughters away and married! And I've only got about 12 ginger hairs left on my head.'' Lily glanced up at her Uncle, it was true - his age was really starting to show.

''Hey Lils, is Daisy coming over with her folks later?'' Lily smirked at Hugo, She didn't know why he didn't just admit he liked Daisy Longbottom – but she was hardly one to talk after all, she had been in love with Scorpius Malfoy from the moment she met him aged just nine years old. Boys were so dense sometimes.

''Uh, yeah, I think so...Did you get her a present Hugh?'' She winked at him and he cringed,

''Um, yeah…she's my best friend after all...''

''Humph! And what am I? I'll tell you what I am – Extremely hurt! Im your BFF Hoogie-Boogie and don't you forget it!'' She stuck her tongue out at him and made a run for the door to pounce on her cousin Lucy who had just walked in with her mum, dad and older sister Molly.

''Hey Lilikins! I saw you in my crystal ball the other night; you were speaking with a ghost. Strange, huh?'' Lily's cousin Lucy was everything her Percy wasn't. She wasn't much of a rule person and was often seen in detention with Lily's other cousin Roxanne who had just walked in with her brother Fred and their parents. Lily dodged around Lucy, not really wanting to hear any more 'predictions' and said a quick hello to her cousins before she hugged her Uncle George around the waist.

George was always Lily's favourite uncle. In a way she didn't really know why it was but if she thought about it hard enough she thought it probably had something to do with pity that he lost his twin brother and never really recovered. But then she quickly forgot about that and would laugh at her uncles mad jokes and pranks and realised this was why she loved him that little bit more than her other uncles. He dealt with losing one half of himself and still managed to keep everyone else happy in the process.

Once Lily's Grandma Molly and Grandpa Arthur arrived and the mums began preparing the meal, the 'children' and the dads retired to the sitting room for a quick Butterbeer.

Everyone loved meeting at Grimmauld Place for family dinners. Harry now lived with his family elsewhere but kept his godfathers old house as a place for Kreacher to grow old and a place for the ever-extending Weasley clan to meet without stretching the Burrows kitchen to breaking point.

Tonight was one of those occasions, with everyone married with kids, they had to see their wife's family on Christmas too, so every Christmas eve the Weasley's would meet and have dinner at Grimmauld Place and then spend the night, before departing to their separate families for Christmas dinner.

It was the same as every year; Hugo and Ron were locked in a chess battle while Rose had her head stuck in some new book she'd bought as Albus tried to make conversation with her, James, Fred and Louis would sit in a corner muttering away with slightly evil grins on their freckled faces, Lucy and Roxanne would be sitting in the opposite corner doing the same thing, both groups eyeing each other up occasionally, Harry, Bill, Arthur and Percy would be discussing something to do with the ministry and George would sit by himself, and everyone knew not to disturb his deep thoughts, Dominique and Molly would be swapping the latest gossip or discussing Quidditch. And Lily would sit as she did every year looking back and forward between the front door and the fireplace, willing either her best friend or Scorpius to walk into the room.

The Fire once again roared and turned green and a group of people walked in – The Longbottoms. Neville limped in, his bad leg still the same as usual, followed by his gentle-faced wife Hannah and their four children; the twins – Frank and Belle – Ivy, who was Roses friend and then Daisy, Lily and Hugo's Best Friend.

''Lils, Hugo, come see this new plant I got, it literally grows money!'' Squealed Daisy, holding out and ugly red lump that resembled a fat, four inch tall tree covered on small golden buds. ''I mean I can only grow about 4 galleons a year but isn't it absolutely smashing!'' Daisy Grinned at Hugo then at Lily as if expecting them to react like her.

''Uh...Wow! It's Freaking Amazing Daiz!'' Hugo suddenly yelled, eyeing Lily,

''Oh Merlin! Only the best thing I've ever heard of!'' Lily joined in. After a childhood of listening to Daisies obsession with plants that she inherited from her dad, she had just learned to go along with it.

''No James! Jeezo! I've been here all of 5 minutes!'' Everyone's attention was briefly on James and Belle before they all turned back to what they were doing, realising that it was just James having another attempt at asking Belle out.

''Aw, c'mon Belly! We're adults now, it was funny in school but now your just hurting my feelings!'' Belle glared at James so hard he flinched, ''Belle, I meant Belle! Sorry..''

''Whatever James, I ca-arghhh!'' Another two figures had just tumbled into 12 Grimmauld Place, knocking poor Belle, who had unfortunately been standing in front of the fireplace, flying into James who quickly took his opportunity and wrapped his arms around her. She slapped his hands away from her and walked over to stand with her brother Frank.

Today Teddy had opted for a Christmassy look, he had bright red hair and green eyes to rival Harry and Albus. Victoire look simply radiant and was wearing a red sparkly top that hung of her skinny frame. The two were just recently married and still stared in to each other's eyes as if they couldn't get enough.

''Ahh, My leetle princess! 'ow eez married life treating you both?'' asked Fleur as she danced into the room, wearing a bright yellow apron with a picture of a unicorn on the front, ''Dinner eez zerved.''

Just as everyone got up to head for the kitchen, the fire turned green and a boy stepped out. He was tall and lean, but muscular from playing sports; his pure blonde hair was pushed back out of his eyes to reveal beautiful grey iris's surrounded by long blonde eyelashes and pale white skin.

''Hey Scorp, just in time man'' Al said while slapping him on the back, ''unfortunately the only seat is next to my little sister, think you can survive her yapping?'' He laughed to show he was joking and took his seat in the middle of his mum and Uncle Ron. Scorpius sat himself down next to Lily and across from Al.

When dinner was finished, everyone dragged themselves back to the living room, their trousers feeling tighter than before. This was when everyone gave the people who weren't family (The Longbottom's and Scorpius) their presents and received them back.

Al went first and handed Scorpius a small box that contained one half of a two way mirror,

''Wow mate, this is seriously cool! How handy would these have been at Hogwarts?'' Scorpius said as he turned the mirror in his hands, ''cheers!''

Next he gave Ivy her present; it was a small jade bracelet. She thanked him with a long, lingering kiss which was ended only when Neville cleared his throat, himself and Frank looking pointedly away from them.

Scorpius went next handing Al a rectangular parcel that turned out to contain a book that made Al blush furiously and Harry and Ron who were sitting at either side of him to burst out laughing and slap him on the back. He then pulled out a small box wrapped with red shiny paper and handed it to Lily.

Lily looked up, shocked that he'd got her something. She'd got him something too, but that wasn't a surprise, she bought everyone a present. She let him place the box in her hand and she gently opened it. Inside was a small purple box and inside that was –

''A Time Turner''

Everyone looked at Hermione then back at the box where a small gold hourglass sat, surrounded by different sized circles, all inscribed with words in another language.

''Those where all destroyed...'' Hermione said, ''we destroyed them in fifth year and then they never replaced them.''

''Its fine, my uncle Blaise charmed it; He's an expert as this stuff. It will only take you about a minute and a half into the past at the most. It was just supposed to be a bit of fun. I found it in an old antique store'' Hermione still looked worried, but everyone else relaxed a bit.

''Hey! Why don't we test it out!'' Hugo said loudly to the room.

''Okay. But this chain would probably only get about six, maybe seven under it. Who wants to come?''

Everyone shouted out at once so Lily shouted at them to 'Shut it' as loud as she could until they were all looking at her,

''Right, I'm taking Scorp, because he bought it, and Albus, because he didn't shout, Hugo because he suggested it…Teddy and Victoire, because I just like you both and Daisy.''

''Hey, what about 'Ron, because he is the greatest uncle ever'?'' Lily laughed at her uncle,

''Yeah, but your massive head would fit through the chain.'' George said to Ron.

The six that Lily picked plus herself all gathered round the tiny hourglass. Hugo, who was the tallest, whipped it around there heads and handed it over to Lily. She took it and after a quick wave and a 'see you a minute ago' she spun the hourglass between her fingers and then it was black.
