Preface:
I sat up in the darkened hotel room and franticly looked around. I had always been a little paranoid, but I had a good reason. So I was set there. "Oh! Thank God! It's just you!" I sleepily mumbled. Standing before me was my boss.
"Agent Yakavanco, you have some explaining to do," My boss Mar. Kuloff, a heavy set man in his early sixties, glared at me next to my open eighth floor window.
"Yes Sir?" I snapped to attention.
"It appears that your form of 'saving' the patrons of the 'pent house party robbery' wasn't to the liking of the company officials-"
"But I did save them. Is there a issue with me doing my job?" I questioned, cutting him off.
"I don't appreciate you interrupting me Agent," Kuloff growled in a stern tone. His dark brown eyes piercing me with anger. "I got word that you threatened to give the hostess back to the kidnappers!"
"Oh, that," I looked down. "Hey look I'm really sorr-"
"Yakavanco! I can't take this and I can't take you anymore!" Kuloff yelled. "This isn't the first time you've done something like this! I am not aloud to take you out of the field completely. Even though your a lose cannon your one of the best agents we have," I had to bit my lip. Hearing these words was torture. No matter how many time I get this speech he'll never take me out or put me on a smaller case.
"So what are you going to do send me home, brain wash me, lock me up? What?" I hissed at him like a angsty teenager.
"We'll see," He mumbled coolly. My brain finally punched it's self in the face for acting up. My job was on the line!
"Sir, if you wish for such punishment, then so forth do what you desire."
"But, that would be too easy," Kuloff purred. "We both know this isn't the first time you have disturbed the public int his manner."
"Yes sir, I understand."
"Then you'll understand when I tell you that you will be assigned to a same town America case. There has been large amounts of radiation mixed with motor oil coming from a small town in the state of Oregon. Investigate. Fix the problem," He looked at me intently and nodded.
"You've got to be kidding me," I groaned.
"Trust me Yakavanco, I wish I was. I really wish I was," Kuloff looked disappointed. "Good night Agent," And with that he was gone.
"Great!" I yelled sarcastically.
