Disclaimer: FFVIII belongs to Square Enix. Nothing I say can change that, but a girl can always hope, can't she?
A/N: Here is the sequel to 'Love Aftermath'! I am playing Final Fantasy VIII again and I have to say that I now can't stand Rinoa. Not a bad girl, but she is extremely annoying. Then I remember this fic … *bows head* I cringed at some points in both stories though so I'll be editing both of them whilst I continue this one.
Maybe I Was Wrong

Prologue
Rinoa stepped on the train that the Timber Owls used as their base and looked around her. They might not be the greatest or even the smartest people, but they all treated her as she should be treated. A Princess. She smiled at the nickname they had given her. The Timber Owls is under her command whatever the other team members might be thinking. Great. If Seifer thought he could run from her that easily, he was wrong. He's going to get it, and so was that boyfriend of his. She let out a maniacal laugh. Miles from that town, a certain brunet shuddered.
"Are you cold?" Seifer asked worriedly.
Squall shook his head. Obviously he couldn't tell Seifer that somehow that chill was from fear that he didn't know where it came from. They were having their breakfast with the orphanage gang. Irvine was currently checking Selphie out while Zell was munching his hotdogs. Squall got the feeling that Zell was trying hard to ignore Irvine. Whatever happened between them, he couldn't fathom.
Squall took a bite of his pancake and smiled weakly. Things had changed so much and it's moving so fast. Half a year ago, if anyone had told him that one day he'd go out with Seifer, he would have dragged said person to the Infirmary to have their brain checked, but now … well, it's totally different. They had graduated and within three months they, Seifer and Squall, were promoted to SeeDs rank 15. Zell, Irvine, and Selphie as rank 14. Everything went on smoothly … somehow, he got the feeling something would happen. He might be wrong … he hoped he was wrong.
