A/N: So, I know I have another chapter to get up to you guys, and I promise it's written, it's just a lot right now. I have my final for my college class in 2 weeks and Public Speaking has taken over what little life I had. SORRY!

This is based on some recent events around me. Here, Gavroche is 16 (he can drive) and azelma's 20, recently arrived home from college. based on an all-too-true story.

He felt guilty.

Not much else, just guilty.

He sat at the table alone, having driven himself. He didn't mean to make Eppy mad, it was just Azelma had been picking at him the entire afternoon. He was 16, and she'd been gone for a year. It wasn't his fault she didn't want to be home, and she didn't have to make everyone miserable. He was supposed to meet his friend here, but he got turned around and was so late he sat by himself. He was miserable, and guilty. God, what kind of person ran away from a fight with his sister?

When he finally does get the hint he had to go home, he does. He goes and crawls directly into bed, only to have Azelma stick her annoying head in again. "Are you going to bed?" she asks stupidly.

No, I'm in the bed because I wanna stay up all night. "Yes, I am." He answers instead.

"OK, I just couldn't decide. You know, none of this would've happened if you hadn't called her."

And that's it. That's his breaking point.

He calls a friend, spends the night there, trying to relocate that mother figure he wants, but she hasn't come back yet.

He feels guilty.

The next morning, he drives into school from there, not even bothering to stop home for something for lunch. He'll buy it. Somehow, he makes it through his class, then the study hall teacher really learns just not to mess with him. That is, until he checks his online accounts.

Azelma's on there, crowing about how quiet the house is and how she's trying to make this transition smooth and she's not the one who's causing the problems.

Right, and he felt no guilt.

She was a notorious liar anyways.

He goes through the day and doesn't hear from either of them. He's fine.

But he doesn't stop feeling guilty.

No, that's still there.

So, that's that. it's true, all of it. Thanks.
