Note

This is a beta, which means it isn't exactly completed yet. For your best interests I figured out it would be best for you to see this first. I mean, twelve straight hours of Infinite isn't really the best preparation I could do for this, but I would like you to give this a read, and a bit of time for myself to complete and perfect this. There may be rampant changes to sentences, plot, and details. There may be more chapters. Who knows? If you liked it, please drop me a review. Helps the story in full. Thank you for your support.

"They're coming!" Elizabeth shouted as she frantically attempting to find a place to duck.

"I can handle this!"

Booker took out his shotgun, and ran towards the bridge. He blasted a few rounds at one, causing the officer to collapse and fly backwards from the blast. It incapacitated a second, which he finished with a gunshot to the head.

More was coming for him. As soon as the approach catches his sight, he leapt straight up to a freight hook.

"Booker! Catch!"

Elizabeth threw him an ammo pack from behind her cover. He caught it and reloaded his firearm.

"Thanks!"

"Turret!"

The turret from the far-off ledge began to fire. He swung himself to dodge the incoming fire, while releasing a vigor before dropping his anchor onto the wall and murdering another member of the Columbian police force with his Sky-Hook. A straight slash to the neck will do.

He ran close to the railings to get a better view of the oncoming troops, with her trailing closely behind. He fired behind a pair of pursuers and fed the shells equally to them both. The turret, now hypnotized by his Salts to ally with him, began turning on to the police.

"I've got Health!"

Booked snatched it out of mid-air, and quickly pocketed it.

As they were nearing the end of the bridge, the turret reverted to normal.

"Ha-ha!" One of the oncoming prosecutors laughed, "You can't run!"

The automated firing mechanism began shooting at him. Booker took a shot at the teased officer, then threw a pack of crows at another.

Or that's what he intended to do.

"Agh!" He yelled as he suffered massive damage from the gunfire, and slowly retreated to cover behind a horse cart. His vision began to be red-shifted.

He took the Health.

"Hey, you got any Salts?"

"Here!"

The men had almost made it to the cart. At this moment, as if time slowed down, the rescue kit was slowly sailing through the air as the henchmen began to show their faces from behind the carriage. He was about to die.

Just as they pushed on the trigger, he caught the kit. Sparks from the barrel began to fly as he was brought back to full capacity with his powers. Booker held up his right arm to shield his head as he once again threw a pack of crows at the officers. Time returned to normal again.

"No! Yargh!" The officers yelled as they begged for mercy on the sudden attack. He butted them with the shotgun he held. Realizing their backup had its first wave neutralized, and the next won't arrive anytime soon, they both quickly made it to the edge of the street, where they jumped onto the Sky-Line that takes them to a radical, yet wealthy area of Columbia.
