CCSAtlantis……
As Sakura came through the Stargate, she was shot at by an enemy staff weapon, in the back. She took a sharp intake of breath as she plunged to the ground with a thud.
Her heart was thumping in her ears, then all of a sudden it stopped.
There was no sound…not beating…nothing.
She lay there, motionless not breathing.
SG3 entered the gate room as the iris closed and the gate deactivated. Her lifeless body was lifted off the cold metal ramp and onto a stretcher. She was then taken out of the gate room and to the infirmary.
Her body was hoisted onto the infirmary bed with some force. Doctor Frasier, who then placed the paddles on to her chest, ripped her shirt open. The Doctor said,
"Charging 150, everybody stand clear, shocking!" as she shocked Sakura body, then said,
"Charging 200, everybody stand clear, shocking!" and shocked Sakura again. She tried it one final time saying,
"Charing 300, everybody stand clear, shocking!" but it was all done to no avail. there was no effect, she still remained lifeless…motionless…dead…
The Doctor called for Colonel Sam Carter and her father General Jack O'Neil. Both eventually came in and saw Sakura's dead and mangled body. Both of them looked equally shocked at what they saw. They could see she was dead, one of their closest friends and team members. They had lost all hope.
All of a sudden, they saw her fingers twitch.
"She's alive!" shouted Sam, "But how?"
The Doctors eventually finished dressing her wounds and left her to rest. She remained unconscious for several hours, all the while the General and Colonel were at her side. Pacing, reading, eating, drinking, doing anything to pass the time.
At 21:23 she finally opened her eyes to a blurry Colonel Carter and General O'Neil.
"W-Wh-Wha-What happened?" Sakura asked.
"You were shot by Gould weapons fire. You were dead. Then with out any warning or reckoning you came back. None of us knows how, but Carter has one of her theories, that you are part ancient," Said O'Neil.
"WHAT! I WAS DEAD! I'M PART WHAT!" screamed Sakura.
"Don't worry Sakura you're fine now, if you are part ancient then you can go to Pegasus using your internal energy. No more need to find ZPM's."
When Sakura had taken in what was said, she jumped for joy, not literally of course. She wanted to meet the Atlantis team. Especially the fabled Major Shepherd. From what she had heard, he was a good soldier and a good man, always thinking of everyone else above himself. Also she had heard he was quite the looker. She laughed at the thought of him ever liking someone like her, to her it was a very strange thought, she just kept thing, 'It will never happen.'
Sakura sighed from her infirmary bed. 'Anyway he is Military and I am civilian, it would never work even if it did happen.'
A huge pile of file were dumped on her lap by Colonel Carter.
"These are the records of the team in Pegasus. I thought you might want to know what to expect when you get there. Major Shepherd is the most experienced military officer on Pegasus, not to mention also one of the cutest."
Sakura smiled at the comment and said,
"Yes I had heard that from several of the female officers. Dad said to watch out for him, he's just trying to protect me. But if anything happens, which it won't, then I'll be prepared. I'm going to miss Dad, Earth…everything."
"Your Father is your commanding officer but he is your Dad too. He is just looking out for you. He loves you, you're all he has and he wants you to be safe, but above all to be happy." Sakura smiled.
"I know, I just don't want him to be so protective over me. I haven't even met the guy yet and he's already fretting about it. So when do I leave?"
