It's no surprise to Ginny when Tom Riddle walks out of the closet that a boggart had been locked in. His straight black hair is just as she remembers it, glinting dark eyes that seem to peer through her body and bore into her soul.
An evil smirk that could kill you on sight adorned his face.
"Ginevra Weasley." he says, "How nice to see you again."
The girls at the back of the second year DADA class whisper. Who is this handsome boy, and why is Ginny so afraid of him? They expect her to shake or cry. They don't expect her to smile sadly, whisper his name and caress his cheek. Tom.
Loud whispers erupt from everyone.
Tom grabs her shoulder and pushes her against the wall. "Oh, Ginevra. Nothing has changed has it? You're still a filthy little slut, yearning for a heartless monster. You're in love," he paused, laughing. "With the same person who killed your little scar-faced friend's parents!"
Panic rose from the rest of the class, but they were too stunned or nervous to do anything. This was Lord Voldemort. He-who-must-not-be-named. In their Defence Against the Dark Arts class.
"Now just what would Harry Potter think about that?" his grip on her shoulder has tightened to the point where it's painful and she whimpers.
He laughs again and kisses her roughly.
"Goodbye, Ginevra." he smirks and pushes her to the floor. He calmly strides back into the wardrobe, closing it behind him.
"No!" she screams. Ginny tries to stand up again, but her knees are shaking so much that she collapses to the floor again.
"Please don't leave me!" she sobs. "Why do you always leave me?"
The bell chimes.
