Max's Ever After
"Hey Freak," I said sitting down next the headstone. I realized that even though he wasn't here long he was and still is my best friend. As Freak would say that's the whole, unvanquished truth. Freak's probably having another adventure somewhere else I just wish I could be there with him. I guess he's always with me. When Freak died I thought my brain went with him. He must be riding on my shoulders because I graduate next week. It's like whoa! I decided to publish a book of all our adventures, I'm going to call it Freak the Mighty. "Once freak the mighty always freak the mighty," Freak always used to say. He will never get out of jail again and Grim will make sure of it. I still live with Grim and Gram. Today, I'm at the cemetery because it the anniversary of Freak's death so I thought I ought to come. That day I saw Loretta Lee I didn't think that what she said was right but, now I know she was right after all. So, now I'm on another adventure to go on and live life so I guess, this my ever-after.
