Its past is etched in the stone,
Denial cannot heal despair.
No amount of apologies can reverse
the hands of time. Awaken to truth.
Alone with silence for a century
Or more. Frigid solitude.
Until a stranger entered the memory
unknowing of the history. Unbiased.
The silence is shattered, but
shards still remain. Piercing.
