Hey everyone!! Here's my first one-shot! I hope you enjoy!
"Alice" I complained in my most annoying whiney voice.
"Bella" she mocked back.
"Do we really have to go shopping today," I said emphasizing the today.
"What other day would we go. Huh? If you stop whining I will let you bring Edward along," she bribed me.
"Fine," I said crossing my arms across my chest. "I will go find him." But before I could take a step, he was right beside me. Just gazing into his eyes made me melt. He is way to perfect for me.
"Come on love birds. We're wasting precious shopping time here." As if we planned it, Edward and I rolled our eyes at the exact same time. We both started laughing.
"What?" asked Alice.
"Nothing," we said at the same time, triggering a new fit of laughter. Alice led us to the Volvo.
"Wait. I never said you could take my car," said Edward.
"May we take you car?" Alice asked.
"Yes you may," Edward said. When we got to the mall, only Alice shopped. Edward and I just wandered around the mall, goofing around. While I was eating a soft pretzel, Alice found us.
"Damn," Edward muttered.
"Ha ha. Very funny." Said Alice. "Ok. I need Bella to come with me to this next shop."
"Why?"
"Because I need you to try stuff on for me." Explained Alice.
"Can't you just look ahead to the future and see if it fits?" I asked desperately.
"No. Now come," she said dragging me towards the end of the mall where Macys is and… uh oh.
"Alice. Victoria's Secret?" I asked, shocked. I turned to look at Edward. He had his hands in his pocket and was rocking back and forth on the balls of his feet.
"Umm… I will be a few stores down at the bookstore," he said.
"Oh no you won't be," demanded Alice. I had to admit that she looked kind of menacing. She dragged both of us into the store. The walls were pink and there were feathers and polka dots everywhere! In the background there was girlish music playing. Edward looked like he was going to barf.
"You guys go back to the dressing rooms and I will be there shortly with some stuff for Bella to try on." Alice ordered.
It got better as we walked to the back of the store. The dressing rooms weren't pink. There was cream colored fabric on the walls and the music was barely noticeable. As soon as we walked in, Alice was there with handfuls of bras and panties.
"In." she ordered pointing to an empty room. She threw mounds of 'clothes' over the door and I started pulling them on.
"Ok Alice. You can come in now."
"I have a better idea… you can come out here and show us."
"Do I have to?"
"Yes."
I sighed really loud and unlatched the door. When I stepped out, Edward's eyes bulged out of his head. Someone else was in the dressing room too. I looked over to see Mike. He was standing outside a room holding a cheetah print bra with red lace going around staring at my boobs. I let out a little shriek and ran back in to the dressing room.
"It's all clear Bella. He left. Put something else on and come back out!" Alice said.
"I think not. Hey Edward?" I called through the door.
"Yes Bella?"
"Why was Mike in here anyway?"
"Well he was picking out a last minute birthday present for his mom's birthday tomorrow." He said trying to hold back his laughter.
"And he picked out a cheetah print bra?!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah he thought his dad would like it."
"Wow. That was a mental image I didn't need to see." Said Alice.
"Okay. I am ready to go now." I said coming out with my normal clothes on. Edward and I walked out of the store while Alice paid. When we got out of the store, Edward leaned over and whispered something in my ear.
"To be perfectly honest, I am sad to go. You looked sexy." Of course I immediately started blushing. As we were walking back to the car I leaned up and kissed Edward in the lips.
"I love you." I whispered. It was the perfect ending to an awkward day.
