The engines on Sodor were good at one thing- teasing. Not meant to be hurtful, but playful jibes were made whenever one of them had an accident or had a mishap that was rather silly.
One such mishap that James was teased about was when he was spun round like a top on a turntable once.
They thought it a great joke.
"Oh James!" Henry called out, "is the wind going to lead you on a merry dance again?"
"I was thinking that move should be called James' Top spin!" teased Thomas and the others laughed heartily.
"Oh ho! Good joke little Thomas!" Laughed Gordon. "On the ball I must say!"
"Well, I know a friend who plays tennis."
...
James was cross.
"You'll be sorry!" He hissed.
"Oh James -you'll have us going in circles when you commit your revenge!" Gordon said in a ridiculously high pitched voice.
Thomas shrieked with laughter at Gordon's joke. The others, particularly Henry, were very amused now.
But James was seething.
...
"I'll show them! I'll show them!" He said triumphantly.
He had come up with the idea to sleep at Wellsworth, and see if someone got stuck on the turntable in the morning.
It had gotten stiff with old age, and needed oiling.
So James, chuckling to himself, sneaked out of his berth and turned round.
He puffed on, and waited.
However, just as he was waiting, it got stuck!
"Are you kidding me?" he asked himself.
...
To make matters worse, Percy arrived home from the mail run!
He was tired and very cross- but when he saw James, he began shaking with laughter.
"Oh James, were you wanting to have another spin? Too bad- it looks like the spinning top's jammed!"
He giggled, which made James even crosser.
But when the other engines heard the commotion and then saw James stuck on the turntable, they too began laughing.
"Oh great. Life is so unfair." Sighed James dramatically.

Request from tate310. Love writing about this! I think this my favourite I did, even if the jokes are meh. But if they are better than Charlie's then I think I'm good!
