A/N: The events on this fanfic are based on The Heirs which is a Korean Drama, specifically the events going on between Rachel Yoo and Choi Young Do as they try to prevent their parents from getting married to each other (and yes, those two are being shipped in the fandom of this show) and those events inspired me to write this fic. Also, there will be a few character changes in this fic, one which is Rosalind bearing a different last name and I might set a few parts of this fic in Korea but that is still to be determined.

Lastly, I also encourage you guys to watch The Heirs because you would appreciate the storyline of this fic much more once you have seen this show.

He who wishes to wear the crown, endures its weight.

Rosalind Lee is the future heir to RS Laboratories, a company known for developing advanced transport systems and although she is still attending high school, she has started to oversee operations of their family company as part of her training especially after her mother discovered about her high aptitude for the sciences, which would come in handy for when she would soon retire as the head of the company. Her mother was not really interested in the business that involved a lot of science, only armed with a business degree, she was placed into the position of CEO after her older brother was disowned from the clan for doing acts that would tarnish the family name.

Not much was known about where her father went and she has been used to spending life without one. When Rosalind would ask where her father was, she was usually told that he went missing after a convention for university professors or any variation of the said claim.

Robert Lutece is slated as the heir for Zeus Electronics, a corporation specializing in state-of-the-art electronic products and despite of being a high school student, he has already started to oversee the productions of his family's company and for most of the time, he could be found in the production line, assembling parts of electronic products. Growing up without a mother for most of his life, it was his father that raised him, and most of the time, his father acted stern towards him. Something that he greatly disliked. He too, had a high aptitude, especially for the sciences but that does not stop him from being a carefree person at some point.

Although his career of becoming the next CEO would come off as promising, but he did not like the kind of training that he was put under. In fact, if he were to have a choice on how to undergo training, he would choose to be among those who design the products, not those who would assemble them.

Some time during their senior year, a shocking news was revealed. Rosalind Lee's mother was to marry Robert Lutece's father and the reason for such to take place was in order for a merger to happen between RS Laboratories and Zeus Electronics. Rosalind and Robert detested the news for so many reasons, one of which was because it would mean for Rosalind that she would end up being the step-child of a man who is rumored to hit anyone as he pleases when pushed over the edge. For Robert, his reason was because he does not trust his father entering a marriage considering that he has separated with his mother and gone through many relationships after that, and none of these relationships even lasted for a year.

The only way for them to stop the marriage from ever happening would be for them to form an alliance, even if they had differences among each other.
