Herky had had his new hanger for a short while now, and he was really happy with it. It was the best gift his friends had made for him.
One night however he was settling down to sleep when he heard a noise.
It bounced off the walls and it rang repeatedly in his head.
It was coming from the other hanger.
Poor Herky couldn't sleep that night.

The next morning, Herky felt shattered. He kept yawning and flying into places and his friends without being aware of what was happening.
Eventually he was persuaded to see Brenda Blue, Tarrytown's mechanic.
When Brenda heard the problem, she was quick to identify the root of it.
"The noise you heard was an echo." she explained.
"What's an echo?"
"Well, it's when a noise bounces off hollow objects, like caves or rooms."
"Ah so that's why I couldn't sleep!" Exclaimed Herky.
...
"We can fix your hanger so you don't hear the echo. But for now you can wear headphones."
"Thanks Brenda!"
"You're welcome!" Replied Brenda.
...
Brenda gave the headphones to Herky and left him to try and see if he could get some sleep.
He did-until he heard another noise.
It was coming from the other hanger- and that was when he realised it was Snuffy snoring.
He sighed. Now he would never get to sleep.
...
The next morning, an exhausted Herky told his friends about the problem.
"I was wearing headphones to ensure that I couldn't hear anything- then I heard Snuffy snoring. He explained.
"Well, none of this should be happening." Said Jay ay.
"Yeah!" agreed Tracy.
So Brenda Blue was once again consulted over the matter. She was told everything.
"Well in that case I suppose both of your new hangers need firmer walls." She said. "Don't worry -I'll deal with this."
...
She did. Workmen came in make the walls firmer so that no echoes could be heard.
The next day, Herky felt refreshed and happy because no disturbances kept him up.
