Vampires

Vampires

We hunt in packs,

Our swift attacks,

Our prey:

Lone victims out in the night.

Into the city, night is our portal,

Steeling life from careless mortals,

Legend among them,

We are all too real.

There's no pain involved,

Just shock, quickly dissolved,

The blood drained from the helpless victim,

Full, we leave the corpse for the dogs.

How can they envy us?

Do they want this blood lust?

Eternal life?

Ha, it's infinite hell.

We're the same as wild animals,

Nothing more than cannibals,

Stalk the night looking for blood,

This is the curse of a vampire.
