Chapter 1
I ran through the forest, my heart was beating so rapidly, I thought it was going to die, right there, on the spot... although I was probably going to die anyway.
"That stupid old guy..." I muttered to myself, "He just had to tell the guards..."
I guess you have no idea what I'm talking about...
I'm Aieba; I have a forbidden power that not many other people have. If people find out about our power, we die. What is our power? We have wings, and can use telekinesis, we're called the forbidden.
The guards were slowly catching up to me, all I wanted to do was unfold my wings and fly away, but that would be stupid, there was a tangle of branches above my head so it was impossible to fly away.
I saw light ahead of me and begged silently that it was a clearing, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Just my luck... I thought bitterly. I was a cliff that dropped down about 80 feet. But if you were in this type of situation, I'm sure you would rather jump off then be caught by the guards. So I unfolded my wings and 'jumped' off the cliff.
The guards ran up to the edge of the cliff, shouted curses and shook their fists at me. I smirked at them, you won't be seeing me for a while... unless you create some sort of flying machine... but that is very unlikely. I thought, but then, an idea struck me, I pointed my hand in the direction of one of the guards and motioned my hand to flick him off the cliff. He fell, screaming, he tucked himself into a tight ball and hit the dry ground at the bottom, there was a explosion of dust and I saw a speck of red which I guessed was him bleeding.
I laughed at the guards who were now staring at me with wide, terrified eyes.
"Who's next?!" I yelled at them over the wind. They backed away from the cliff and ran back to the village.
"Yea... you better run..." I scowled at them.
I'm never going back to my family... never.
So... how was my first chapter? I know, it's pretty sucky. I might draw a picture of Aieba and post it on Deviantart. Sorry if I don't.
