Don't mind this fanfiction, it's just a challenge between me and a friend.
It was a sunny afternoon at the DMWA, but that's not where our story takes place. Actually, I don't know why I even mentioned that. But oh well, moving on.
Our story does, however, take place in a cool, airy greenhouse at the edge of Death City. The only area in Death City where plants could grow, and it was empty on this day due to the warm weather. Everyone was staying at home in the air conditioning.
Well, almost everyone.
Seated on two, odd chairs- one with wheels and stiched upholstery, and the other a park bench- between two leafy palm trees in the shade of the sun, which continued to smirk at them through the glass ceiling.
A packet of Scotch Fingers laid half-empty on the table in front of the pair. They sat awkwardly, each one uncomfortable with the situation at hand. To a passerby, they were two friends, sharing tea and biscuits, but to the couple it was extremely awkward.
A fly fluttered its way into their field of vision. Stein saw it through his glass lenses, and Marie, through her one eye that wasn't covered by the lightning-bolt adorned eyepatch. It flew away again, and the two sighed. This was too weird.
The pair hadn't properly spoken since well before Marie had hit Stein with her soul wavelength.
Marie absentmindedly picked up one of the biscuits. Devouring it quickly, she sighed again. Stein glanced at her, then looked away as she glanced at him.
The silence was too heavy, too weird. This wasn't like them at all.
Suddenly, out of the blue, Stein said, "My place?"
A feeling of relief swept over Marie. "Yep."
There, it's done. This was only written because my friend and I had a challenge. Let me see.
Soul Wavelength- CHECK!
Eyepatch- CHECK!
Biscuits- CHECK!
Greenhouse- CHECK!
Ahahaha, I win! xD
Lol, probably not. But seriously, this was hard. I'm more of a Kid/Maka or Maka/Soul person, and I'm not too big a fan of Stein/Marie. But a challenge is a challenge, and yeah.
Thanks for reading! xD
