I am 14 years old and I still believe in the Easter Bunny. I Don't own Generator Rex or the Easter Bunny. Enjoy!

Easter…right.

I scrubbed the last bit of dirt off my shoes. Easter was in another three days. All the Providence agents who celebrated Easter had decorations on their doors like eggs and bunny stickers. A lot of them even believed in the Easter Bunny. They got Rex to believe in him too. I can't let him believe in such silly fairy tales. I put down my shoes. I fixed my tie and put my glasses back on my face. The only time I really take them off is in front of the mirror. Rex had only seen me take my glasses off once. That was when I took him to try and save One. I unfortunately failed. Soon after that Rex's brother came…

"Six?" I heard Holiday's voice on the intercom. I pressed the button to respond.

"Yes?"

"Come down to the lab. I want to talk to you."

"Wouldn't it make more sense to just talk to me now?"

"I know that but I'd like to see your face when I'm speaking to you. I'll see you soon." The connection was cut off. I might as well go over there.

I walked into Holiday's lab. Holiday was looking at something on at table that I couldn't see because her body was in the way.

"You wanted to talk to me?"

"Yes. You need to do something for Rex on Easter." She turned around from whatever she was looking at to look direct at me.

"Why?" I never did quite see the point of gift-giving on Easter.

"Six, it's Easter!"She folded her arms across her chest. "And Rex is only ten years old! In his mind this would be his first Easter!"

"Even if I do get something, how will I know he'll like it?"

"Trust me, if it is something sweet, he'll just inhale it." I heard the door slide open behind me. "Now go. Before Rex gets suspicious."

The thought of Easter brought up pleasant memories when I still a family, a good mom and pa. To this day I don't know where they are. Not after it happened.
But I won't go down that dark memory lane.

I made no move to decorate my room for Easter. Two days passed and it was the day before Easter. Many Providence soldiers had easter baskets outside of their rooms. The kid got more and more excited every hour. That afternoon Rex ran up to me in front of Doctor Holiday.

"The Easter Bunny's gonna come! Don't you believe in him?" The small child looked up at me with big brown eyes.

"I don't believe in that story."

The kid visibly lost a lot of his pent up energy after what I said.

"You don't..?" He sounded very hurt surprisingly.

"No I don't."

"Oh..." He looked down at his feet. He headed for the door without looking up from his feet. I watched his small form walk out of the lab. What did I just do?

Holiday grabbed my arm to get my attention. "What in the world made you do that, Six? You've got to remember that he's only a kid. You are going to have the fix that and I'm not helping you with it." She let go of me and walked out of the lab, leaving me standing alone.

What am I going to do to make Holiday and Rex feel better at the same time?

I luv Easter. Has anyone ever been on and Easter Egg hunt? it was so fun when I was little. Anyway, Please review!
