Kirk Caught Dancing

"Captain? I need you to sign off on th-" Mr. Spock stood outside Captain James T. Kirk's room with a PADD in his hands, clearly intending to have Kirk sign off on it and go on his merry way. Clearly, that wasn't happening. Because in front of Spock's Vulcan eyes, Captain James T Kirk, youngest ever Starfleet Captain and quite serious about his reputation, was dancing. Only in shorts and his undershirt, he was dancing full tilt to a song of late 20th century origins. Spock almost smiled. That's why he couldn't hear him. Spock listened to the song for a few seconds, and instantly recognized as "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. Illogical, even for the 21st century. he mused. Still, he couldn't tear his gaze from the now booty shaking Kirk. Kirk even had a hairbrush that he sang all the words into. He must have danced to this song several times. He did an old earth move called the air guitar and yelled out into the invisible crowd with glee. "Thank you, Iowa!" He then did a most fascinating move with him whipping his head back in forth while sticking his tongue out. That was then when Kirk noticed Spock, frozen with his tongue still hanging out of his mouth. He stood up and cleared his throat. "What do you want, Mr. Spock?" Outside, the Vulcan was stoic, but on the inside, he was laughing his brains out. "I would like you to sign off on this, Captain." Kirk grabbed it and signed it, a red blush creeping up around his neck and face. "That will be all Spock?" Spock only raised an eyebrow and tilted his head towards the abandoned music player. "Dancing, Captain?" Kirk's blush went to epic proportions. "Will that be all, Spock?" He demanded again. Spock nodded once, a half smile twisting his mouth into an unfamiliar shape. "Yes, Captain." He spun around on his heel, and walked calmly down the hall. Behind him, he could hear the music starting up again. Ah, he thought to himself, that's what he does on breaks.
