I do NOT own Harry Potter, everything belongs to JKR. Just playing in the world she made.

EDIT: Rebecca's age is now 2 to fit the plot better

"Come on Beca. Bed time." Lily tried to bring an extremely hyper Rebecca to sleep. It was Halloween and Rebecca was currently flying around the house in her toy broom in her muggle witch costume.

"No. I wan play with Haree." Rebecca whined.

"Harry is about to sleep too. How about we play tomorrow?" Asked Lily.

After several seconds of weak resistance, Rebecca finally agreed and Lily carried her daughter to bed.

For a two year old, Rebecca was small for her age. Lily was usually able to carry her easily around the house without feeling very tired. Once Lily had set Rebecca in her small bed beside Harry, Lily was about to leave the room when she heard James shouting.

"Lily! He's here! Take Harry and run!" Shouted James from downstairs.

Lily's face turned pale and quickly locked the door. She about to take Harry to hide him under the bed when Voldemort had blasted the door open.

Lily cursed herself. Of course Voldemort would break open the door. Why did she waste time locking it?

She quickly stood behind both her kids and pleaded, "please don't hurt them."

"Stand aside you silly girl." Commanded Voldemort. He saw the two kids and was utterly confused. Peter said there was only one child. Since when did they have another? The room was quite dark and he could not tell the kids apart.

"Give me the kid." he commanded.

Lily shook her head.

"Stupefy." The spell hit Lily and she fell to the floor. Blasted Snape. He thought. He never imagined that he would actually let a mudblood live. It was only because of his elite that he had agreed to spare the mudblood and as an afterthought, her husband as well, so as to not be questioned by his Death Eaters.

Voldemort took a closer look but still could not tell the difference. However, he had felt the magic of the children and felt that the one on the right had more magical power.

"Your powers are strong. No doubt you will be the one I will face if I let you live. Thus, you will be the one I attack tonight." He declared. He pointed his wand and shouted, "Avada Kedavra."

Everything was one big mess afterwards. The spell rebounded off the Potter child and hit Voldemort. The impact caused the entire room to explode into many pieces and Voldemort fled. Many items had been blasted apart and a broken piece of wood had hit the other child and made a similar lightning bolt scar.

After what felt like hours, Sirius Black had arrived to the Potter's residence. The moment he had realised that Pettigrew had betrayed his fellow Marauder, he had immediately rushed to see if they were alright.

"James? Prongs? Are you there?" Shouted Sirius. The sight of Godric's Hollow had made him extremely pale. He rushed into the house to see an unconscious James lying on the floor.

Sirius face turned green and immediately tried to feel for a pulse. He felt something and almost cried in relief. He quickly cast a renerverate and almost a minute later, James had regained consciousness.

"Padfoot!" James hugged his best mate, he tried to stand up and Sirius stopped him.

"Sit down Prongs."

"Harry... Voldemort." Muttered James.

"Of course. Could you try to get Dumbledore too Prongs?"

James nodded and Sirius quickly rushed to the children's room.

"Lily? Beca? Cub?" Whispered Sirius as he carefully stepped across the broken door. He lifted his wand and muttered lumos, before looking around at what had happened.

He was shocked by the mess in the room and noticed that a huge part of a wall had a hole in it. He stepped around the room trying to find his best friend's wife and children when he almost tripped over something. He pointed his wand at the object and realised that it was Lily. He immediately tried to feel for a pulse and quickly cast renerverate when he realised Lily was alive.

He conjured a chair for Lily to sit and went to look for the kids. They were easier to find since both of them were on the bed. Harry was lying on the bed crying while Rebecca was trying to comfort Harry through the bars on his cot.

Sirius smiled a little when he realised Rebecca was fine but when he saw that Harry was crying, his happiness immediately became worry as he picked his cub up and saw the scar on his forehead.

"It's alright little one. Padfoot's here." Cooed Sirius as he rocked Harry back and forth.

"Mama...Pafood." Sirius turned around at the sound of his nickname to see Rebecca pointing at Lily, who seemed to be regaining consciousness.

He placed Harry down in Rebecca's bed and went over to Lily.

"How you feeling Lils? You took longer than James to wake up you know." Asked Sirius.

"Fine... How are the kids." Asked Lily, "and James." She added.

"They're fine. Prongs is hopefully getting Dumbledore and Beca looks like she was comforting Harry. Nasty scar he got there " Muttered Sirius.

"Scar?" Asked Lily as she walked over to her kids.

Lily walked over to the bed and saw Rebecca sitting next to Harry, clearly trying to comfort him. She quickly looked at Harry. She moved his fringe and immediately saw the lightning bolt scar.

"Oh, Harry!" She cried as she hugged her son.

Rebecca was trying to hug her brother and mother as well and Lily pulled her in as well.

Lily touched Rebecca's neck and was shocked to feel something strange behind it. She lifted her daughter's hair and saw and the exact same scar on the side of her neck.

"Sirius... Beca..."

Sirius went over to Rebecca and gave his wand to Lily who lighted it and pointed it near Rebecca's neck. They both saw the scar and looked at each other worried.

That moment, James had stumbled into the room with Dumbledore walking behind him.

"Lily, Padfoot." Muttered James before he went to hug the both of them.

"How are the kids? Is Harry alright? Did Voldemort get him?" James asked worriedly.

Lily shook her head and James sighed in relief.

"However..." Lily looked at James and Dumbledore.

"What?" Asked James, "is it Beca then?"

Dumbledore placed a hand on James' shoulder, "my dear boy, let Lily speak. This is also hard on her."

James nodded and he let Lily bring him to the children while Dumbledore and Sirius walked behind them.

Lily went to Harry first and showed James the scar. James took a deep breath and slowly went to touch Harry's forehead.

Dumbledore stood forward and spoke, "well, I guess Voldemort had managed to cast the killing curse. And on Harry, as prophesied."

Lily shook her head, "that's not all Headmaster."

She went to Rebecca who was watching everything curiously and lifted her daughter's hair. They could all clearly see another lightning bolt scar on her neck.

"She has it too." Whispered James.

Dumbledore shook his head, "no. It can't be. It was most likely an accident. Look." Dumbledore pointed at the piece of wood that had hit one of them.

"That wood has blood on it and is quite close to their beds. It could be the one that caused the scar on little Rebecca tonight."

Dumbledore looked at the relief on James, Lily and Sirius face and spoke once more, "I realise that this is an awful night for the three of you. I must be off now. James, Lily, would you mind coming to my office tomorrow? We need to settle some issues. Please bring the kids along."

"Of course Headmaster. Is it alright for us to come in the afternoon? Maybe twelve?" Asked James.

"Of course." Replied Dumbledore, "I shall take my leave now." Dumbledore spun on the spot and apparated away.

Once Dumbledore was gone, James noticed that the sky was brightening and quickly asked Sirius to help him start mending things before the Muggles noticed.

As James and Sirius started fixing the room, Lily took Harry and Rebecca to her room to sleep. She conjured a bed big enough for the two beside her and James' bed and hugged them one last time before going to help James and Sirius.
